Introduction And Importance: Chest wall tumors are common and predominantly benign. Exceptionally, long-standing evolution over decades can lead to the development of giant tumors, posing substantial technical and strategic challenges in determining the optimal surgical approach.
Presentation Of Case: We report a rare case of a giant pedunculated chest wall lipoma that had been growing for over 40 years in a 73-year-old man.

Background: Cardiac syncope due to sinus arrest may result from either a vasovagal cardioinhibitory mechanism or an intrinsic sinus node dysfunction.
Case Summary: A 67-year-old woman with a recently diagnosed right hilar mass presented with new-onset episodes of syncope associated with sinus arrest. Resting electrocardiogram was normal, and no electrolyte abnormalities were identified.

Background: Myocarditis secondary to Listeria monocytogenes is rare but life-threatening.
Case Summary: A 54-year-old woman with a prior history of systemic lupus erythematous on immunosuppression presented with chest pain and fever. Troponin and C-reactive protein levels were elevated, and an electrocardiogram showed T-wave inversion.

A set of small molecules containing an unusual sp-rich heterobicyclic scaffold were prepared and evaluated in vitro for their ability to increase GLP-1 secretion in STC-1 cells and to protect SH-SY5Y cells from acute and chronic damage induced by glucose and methylglyoxal, respectively. The results obtained showed that some compounds, especially those containing an electron-withdrawing and/or lipophilic group at the meta position of the aryl moiety present at position 9, are effective non-covalent TRPA1 agonists. The lead compound so far individuated (compound 4b) was also prepared by asymmetric synthesis in both enantiomeric forms.

Red-pigmented snow algae are cold-adapted (including cryophilic) photosynthetic microbes commonly found in polar and alpine snowpacks worldwide, but their dispersal across isolated cryospheres remains poorly understood. We report the occurrence of snow algae on Maunakea, Hawai'i, the most isolated cryosphere in the world, during an unusually prolonged summer snow retention event in 2023 associated with La Niña conditions. Red-pigmented algal cells were observed in snow samples collected during this event.
