This study aims to assess the applicability of the Canadian Agility and Movement Skill Assessment (CAMSA) in Chinese children aged 8-12 and to undertake preliminary revisions for areas found to be unsuitable. A randomized sample of 911 children aged 8-12 underwent testing. The results showed that difficulty coefficients for time scores among 8-9-year-olds were relatively low (.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder in adults with epilepsy: Preliminary prevalence and associated factors in a Czech sample.

Epilepsy Res

August 2025

Department of Nursing, 2nd Medical Faculty, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic; Department of Clinical Psychology, University Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady, Prague, Czech Republic. Electronic address:

Objective: This study investigated the prevalence of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms in Czech adult people with epilepsy (PWE) and examined factors potentially contributing to the co-occurrence of these two conditions. Although previous research has consistently reported elevated rates of ADHD in epilepsy populations, data from adult samples in Czech Republic remain limited.

Methods: Fifty-six adults with epilepsy completed validated self-report questionnaires assessing ADHD symptoms (ASRS), anxiety (GAD-2), and depression (NDDIE-2).

Objective: New therapeutic options have recently emerged for patients with highly active, acetylcholine receptor antibody-positive (AChR-Ab) generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG), including fast-acting, endplate-protective agents such as complement C5 inhibitors (C5-I) and neonatal Fc receptor inhibitors (FcRn-I). However, objective biomarkers beyond clinical scoring systems are lacking to guide individualized treatment decisions.

Methods: In this exploratory, prospective real-world study, we assessed serum calprotectin (sCLP) and serum neurofilament light chain (sNfL) levels in a total of 22 AChR-Ab gMG patients, who were treatment-naïve for either C5-I or FcRn-I.

College of Environment and Climate, Guangdong Key Laboratory of Environmental Pollution and Health, Jinan University, Guangzhou, Guangdong 510632, China.

Synthetic antioxidants and plasticizers have emerged as environmental contaminants to which prenatal exposure is widespread, raising concerns about adverse pregnancy outcomes. This study aimed to investigate the association between prenatal exposure to a mixture of synthetic antioxidants and plasticizers and the risk of spontaneous preterm birth (SPB), alongside underlying molecular responses. A nested case-control design was established, including 80 SPB cases and 170 matched healthy controls.

Department of Gastroenterology, The Affiliated Wuxi People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Wuxi Medical Center, Nanjing Medical University, Wuxi People's Hospital, Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China.

Background: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, significantly impact patients' lives. Effective management often involves invasive and costly monitoring.

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of integrating home-based fecal calprotectin testing with therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in managing moderate-to-severe IBD.
