Background: Experience with icodextrin use in children on long-term peritoneal dialysis is limited. We describe international icodextrin prescription practices and their impact on clinical outcomes: ultrafiltration, blood pressure control, residual kidney function (RKF), technique and patient survival.
Methods: We included patients under 21 years enrolled in the International Pediatric Peritoneal Dialysis Network (IPPN) between 2007 and 2024, on automated PD with a daytime dwell.
Adolescence is the phase of life during which most people become sexually active for the first time. It is essential for health care providers to assess the need for pregnancy prevention and provide comprehensive information on contraception, as well as sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention. All currently available contraceptive methods are safe and effective for most adolescents.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) causes multiple diseases in both sexes. This study evaluates the cost-effectiveness and epidemiological impact - defined as reductions in HPV-related disease cases - of a gender-neutral vaccination (GNV) strategy in China's economically developed metropolises: Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. A discrete-time Markov model simulated no vaccination, female-only vaccination (FOV), and GNV strategies among 12-year-olds.

We conducted this study to determine the prevalence of acute kidney injury in malaria, acute kidney injury, associated factors and the impact of acute kidney injury on vital prognosis. This was a multicenter, retrospective, descriptive, and analytical study over a 5-year period from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2023, in the nephrology and infectious diseases departments and intensive care units of Dakar hospitals.

Background And Objectives: Health literacy (HL) is essential for managing chronic conditions such as inborn errors of immunity (IEI). Limited HL may lead to poor clinical outcomes and inefficient healthcare use; however, HL among IEI patients remains underexplored. The aim of this study was to evaluate HL levels in adult IEI patients using the Turkish Health Literacy Scale (TSOY-32) and to identify associated sociodemographic factors.
