Despite the rapidly increasing demand for accurate ultraviolet (UV) detection in various applications, conventional Si-based UV sensors are less accurate due to disruption by visible light. Recently, Ga(Al)N-based photodiodes have attracted great interest as viable platforms that can avoid such issues because their wide bandgap enables efficient detection of UV light and they are theoretically blind to visible and infrared light. However, the heteroepitaxy of a Ga(Al)N layer on sapphire substrates inevitably leads to defects, and the Ga(Al)N photodiode (PD) becomes not perfectly insensible to visible light. Employment of a dielectric stacked UV pass filter is possible to avoid unwanted absorption of visible light, but the angle-dependent pass band limits the detection angle. Here, we have demonstrated the Ag-AlO Fabry-Perot UV pass filter-integrated AlGaN ultraviolet photodiode. The inherent optical extinction characteristics of Ag was utilized to design the fabrication-tolerant UV pass filter with a peak transmittance at ∼325 nm. As the angle of incidence increased, the peak transmission decreased from 45% to 10%, but the relative transmission spectrum remained almost unchanged. By integrating these filters, the visible light rejection ratio (responsivity for 315 nm light to responsivity for 405 nm light) was improved by a factor of 10, reaching a value of 10 at angles of up to 80 degrees.

Unlabelled: Forming wound canal is one of the main signs of gunshot wound. Its features are related to the following differential diagnostic signs: presence of gunshot wound, its intravitality, prescription, direction of projectile (bullet) movement, power of used weapon, etc.
Objective: To study the mechanisms of wound canal formation in gunshot injury, the pattern of damage to the biological tissues of its walls (mainly, blood vessels), the features of hemorrhages forming around it.

This communication describes a straightforward method for the trifluoromethylborylation of unactivated alkenes. The reaction proceeds through the formation of an electron donor-acceptor (EDA) complex between a trifluoromethylthiophenium salt and bis(catechol)diboron under broad-spectrum white-light irradiation. Due to the mild reaction conditions, the trifluoromethylborylation tolerates a wide range of functional groups, including esters, acids, alcohols, epoxides, and a variety of heterocycles.

Importance: Behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD), the most common subtype of FTD, is a leading form of early-onset dementia worldwide. Accurate and timely diagnosis of bvFTD is frequently delayed due to symptoms overlapping with common psychiatric disorders, and interest has increased in identifying biomarkers that may aid in differentiating bvFTD from psychiatric disorders.
Objective: To summarize and critically review studies examining whether neurofilament light chain (NfL) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or blood is a viable aid in the differential diagnosis of bvFTD vs psychiatric disorders.

Importance: Transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA) is an underdiagnosed but treatable cause of heart failure (HF) in older individuals that occurs in the context of normal wild-type (ATTRwt-CA) or an abnormal inherited (ATTRv-CA) TTR gene variant. While the most common inherited TTR variant, V142I, occurs in 3% to 4% of self-identified Black Americans and is associated with excess morbidity and mortality, the prevalence of ATTR-CA in this at-risk population is unknown.
Objective: To define the prevalence of ATTR-CA and proportions attributable to ATTRwt-CA or ATTRv-CA among older Black and Caribbean Hispanic individuals with HF.

IntroductionDaratumumab is a therapeutic cornerstone of the management of multiple myeloma, exerting its anti-myeloma activity through targeting of the cell surface glycoprotein CD38 on plasma cells. While originally given intravenously, the subcutaneous formulation, daratumumab hyaluronidase injection (Dara SC), has been associated with non-inferior efficacy and lower infusion-related reaction rates (IRRs) in the treatment of multiple myeloma and light chain amyloidosis. A noted benefit of Dara SC is a short administration time; however, the optimal observation time post injection to ensure patient safety is unclear from the drug labeling.
