Background: The aim of our study was to assess the impact of different thawing protocols on morphological changes arising in cryopreserved human saphenous vein grafts.
Methods: The study was performed in 12 saphenous vein grafts harvested in brain death donors. Storage in the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen for 3 or 5 years followed. Two thawing protocols were tested: slow thawing in a refrigerator at temperature +4°C for 2 hr and rapid thawing-in a water bath at +37°C. Grafts were processed for scanning electron microscopy. Comparisons of continuous parameters under study between experimental groups were performed using the t-test (age, cold ischemia time, exposure to cryoprotectant, time of storage, total thawing time, mean thawing rate, morphology scoring of thawed HSVG) and the median test (HSVG length). Categorical parameters (sex and blood group) were formally tested using the chi-square test.
Results: All samples were evaluated according to morphological changes and scored in terms of morphologically intact endothelium, confluent endothelium with structural inhomogeneity, disruption of the intercellular contacts, separation of the endothelial cells, complete loss of the endothelium, and damage of the subendothelial layers. There is no statistically significant difference between the sample sets at the significance level of 0.05. There was no association with donors' age, sex, and time of storage.
Conclusions: Human cryopreserved saphenous vein grafts in our experimental work showed no difference in terms of structural deterioration of the endothelial surface and basal membrane depending on different thawing protocols used.

Purpose: As the number of frozen-thawed embryo tryansfer cycles with Hormonal Replacement Therapy increases, the issue of the optimal progesterone level to ensure maximal success rates becomes critical. In this study, we aimed to determine the respective relevance of the 3 recently reported progesterone thresholds using an original statistical method.
Methods: This single-center retrospective study was conducted in a University-based Hospital in France in all consecutive single frozen thawed blastocyst transfers (SFBT) performed with HRT protocol in 2021.

This study aimed to describe the cells of the seminiferous epithelium collected by fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC), reproductive tract observations, semen collection, and sperm cryopreservation from coatis (Nasua nasua). Seven adult coatis were anesthetized, the reproductive tract was examined, and semen was collected by electroejaculation and cryopreserved using an extender based on protocol for domestic dogs, except that prior to cryopreservation, no centrifugation to remove the seminal plasma was performed. Testicular FNAC was also performed on each testis.

We aim to measure fibrinogen, Protein C, Protein S, FV, FVII, and FVIII activity in LQP, quantify how these factors levels change in LQP during storage, and characterize how they compare in LQP to TP.
Materials And Methods: Coagulation factor activities were measured on Days 15, 26, and 27 for LQP (n=26) and Day 5 for TP (n=24).

Thwaites (LST) has emerged as a potential supplement for enhancing male reproductive performance. This study evaluated the effects of long-term oral supplementation with LST on hematological parameters, semen characteristics, ultrasonographic measurements of the prostate gland and testes, and the cryopreservation potential of canine sperm. Six healthy male dogs received oral LST supplementation at a dosage of 10 mg/kg body weight once daily for 7 days (short-term).

The aim was to evaluate the effectiveness of semen cryopreservation and oocyte vitrification in roe deer as a potential method of gamete preservation for endangered deer species. Sperm were isolated from the cauda epididymis of fourteen bucks ( = 14). The motility measure (CASA) and morphology of fresh semen (FS) and frozen-thawed semen (TS) were compared.
