Female sex workers (FSWs) in Nepal are vulnerable to an array of occupational risks, which may compromise their psychosocial health and ability to engage in protective behaviors. A peer education (PE) intervention designed to empower and promote the psychosocial health of FSWs was pilot tested in Kathmandu, Nepal. FSWs who were exposed to the PE intervention ( = 96) had significantly higher scores on psychosocial health knowledge, perceived self-efficacy and ability to access resources, happiness, and job control compared with those who were not ( = 64). PE may be a promising way to promote psychosocial health and empowerment among FSWs.

The case group comprised 108 individuals with GD (60 GD assigned female at birth [AFAB]; 48 GD assigned male at birth [AMAB]), most with same-biological-sex attraction.

Methods: We used the Medication Level Variability Index (MLVI) for the assessment of adherence in 52 subjects selected for a pre-transplant liver procedure and monitored them for 6 months following transplantation. Patients were divided into exposed and non-exposed groups according to adherence, and each group was analyzed using psychosocial variables: demographic characteristics, quality of life, impulsivity, resilience, anxiety and depression.

Deinstitutionalization enables the removal of users from asylums with the support of the Psychosocial Care Network (PCN), which is based on the Psychosocial Care Centers (PCCs). One of the current impasses is the emergence of private/religious institutions that are updating the asylum model. In order to analyze what leads to neo-institutionalization in these locations, an ethnographical study was carried out on nine cases in four PCCs of the three PCNs in the city of Rio de Janeiro, through scrutiny of medical records, interviews with the patient, family members, PCC technicians and managers of the asylums per se.
