In recent decades, dermatological diagnostics have undergone a profound transformation, driven by the integration of new technologies alongside traditional methods. Classic techniques such as the Tzanck smear, potassium hydroxide (KOH) preparation, and Wood's lamp examination remain fundamental in everyday clinical practice due to their simplicity, speed, and accessibility. At the same time, the development of non-invasive imaging technologies and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) have opened new frontiers in the early detection and monitoring of both neoplastic and inflammatory skin diseases.

Angiomas and blue nevi are common benign skin lesions with overlapping clinical appearances that can mimic malignancy, such as melanoma. This study evaluates the role of dermoscopy-assisted high-frequency ultrasound (DA-HFUS) in characterizing these lesions. Five cases (2 angiomas, 3 blue nevi) were examined using the Dermus SkinScanner, a handheld 33 MHz device with integrated optical guidance.

Deep learning has made notable strides in the ultrasonic diagnosis of lymph nodes, yet it faces three primary challenges: a limited number of lymph node images and a scarcity of annotated data; difficulty in comprehensively learning both local and global semantic information; and obstacles in collaborative learning for both image segmentation and classification to achieve accurate diagnosis. To address these issues, we propose the Cross-organ Cross-modality Cswin-transformer Coupled Convolutional Network (C-Net). First, we design a cross-organ and cross-modality transfer learning strategy to leverage skin lesion dermoscopic images, which have abundant annotations and share similarities in fields of view and morphology with the lymph node ultrasound images.

Mammary Paget disease (MPD) is a rare cutaneous malignancy associated with underlying ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) or invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Clinically, it appears as eczematous changes in the nipple and areola complex (NAC), which may include itching, redness, crusting, and ulceration; these symptoms can sometimes mimic benign dermatologic conditions such as nipple eczema, making early diagnosis challenging. A 56-year-old woman presented with persistent erythema and scaling of the left nipple, which did not respond to conventional dermatologic treatments: a high degree of suspicion prompted further investigation.

Introduction: Vascular patterns play a crucial role in the diagnosis and differentiation of skin lesions by providing insight into underlying pathology and aid in distinguishing between benign and malignant lesions. While dermoscopy has proven valuable for visualizing these vascular structures, line-field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC-OCT) offers high-resolution, 3-dimensional (3D) imaging of the skin, potentially providing detailed visualization of vascular architecture and new insights into their projection in dermoscopy.
Objectives: This pilot study aimed to investigate the correlation between vascular patterns in skin lesions with LC-OCT and dermoscopy and explored tridimensional imaging in assessing microvascular architecture.
