This study used a pre/post design to evaluate the implementation of a hospital-wide No Hit Zone (NHZ) bystander intervention around parent-to-child hitting. A total of 2,326 staff completed the pre-NHZ survey and received training about the NHZ policy; 623 staff completed the post-test survey 10 months later. A group of 225 parents participated in the pre-NHZ survey and a second group of 180 participated in the post-NHZ survey, also 10 months later. Compared to staff in the pre-NHZ group, staff in the post-NHZ group had more negative attitudes about spanking and more positive attitudes about intervention when parents hit children in the hospital. Few differences were found among the parent pre- and post-groups. This study demonstrated that NHZs are a feasible way to inform and train hospital staff in ways to intervene during incidents of parent-to-child hitting to promote a safe and healthy medical environment.

Objective: We hypothesized that a set of immunohistochemistry (IHC) stains could be used to distinguish Burkitt lymphoma (BL), the quintessential B-cell lymphoma with a germinal center B-cell (GCB) dark zone (DZ) expression signature, from diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified (DLBCL, NOS). This might also be applicable to high-grade B-cell lymphomas (HGBCLs) with MYC and BCL2 rearrangements (double-hit lymphomas [DHLs]) and triple-hit lymphomas (THLs).
Methods: A 5-marker IHC algorithm was designed from gene lists that distinguish physiologic DZ from light zone GCBs.

Recent advancements in sensor technology have heightened the demand for more sensitive gas detection methods, crucial for improving environmental monitoring and industrial safety applications. This study investigates the potential of a hybrid of laser-induced graphene (LIG) and MoO nanoflakes via a planar microwave resonator for detecting ethanol gas with high sensitivity. To implement the proposed sensor, a rectangular-shaped graphene layer was patterned on a polyimide substrate using a computer-controlled CO laser and functionalized with MoO nanoflakes.

Healthy aging is associated with a general compromise in cognitive, sensory, and motor functions, often reflected in slower and more variable sensorimotor processes. Here, we demonstrate that aging is not only marked by sensorimotor decline but is also accompanied by adaptive sensory sampling strategies during complex motor tasks. Specifically, we examined how healthy aging influences gaze allocation when intercepting a moving object within a narrow spatiotemporal margin, and hypothesized that older adults would rely more on predictive gaze allocation to the interception area.

Purpose: This study introduces two-dimensional (2D) Kernel Density Estimation (KDE) plots as a novel tool for visualising Training Intensity Distribution (TID) in biathlon. The goal was to assess how KDE plots, alongside traditional training metrics, might provide a more detailed understanding of heart rate (HR) intensity patterns, aiding in the evaluation of training quality and compliance.
Methods: Fifteen elite-level youth biathletes from two national academy programmes were monitored over 5-6 weeks using HR monitors.
