Organic electrode materials have garnered great attention in recent years, owing to their resource sustainability, structural diversity, and superior compatibility with various ionic species. Among them, quinone-based compounds have attracted particular interest. Notably, compared with para-quinone analogs (e.

Non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA), characterized by impaired spermatogenesis and the complete absence of sperm in the ejaculate, represents one of the most severe forms of male infertility. Current diagnostic strategies rely on invasive procedures such as testicular sperm extraction, underscoring the urgent need for reliable, non-invasive alternatives. In the present study, we performed untargeted metabolomic profiling of human seminal plasma to identify biomarker panels capable of stratifying azoospermia subtypes through a stepwise approach.

Cefepime (FEP), a fourth-generation cephalosporin combined with tazobactam (TAZ), a β-lactamase inhibitor, is being developed by Wockhardt as a pharmacodynamically optimized fixed dose combination (FEP-2 g + TAZ-2 g) for the treatment of multidrug-resistant Gram-negative infections. To undertake an exposure-response analysis for establishing pharmacokinetic (PK)/pharmacodynamic (PD) targets, it is crucial to characterize the PK profile of compounds in surrogate compartments, such as plasma and lung, in clinically relevant animal infection models used to evaluate efficacy. In the current study, PKs of FEP and TAZ were assessed in plasma and in epithelial lining fluid (ELF) of neutropenic noninfected, lung-infected, and thigh-infected mice.

Optical manipulation techniques have been widely applied in the biomedical field. However, the key issues limiting the efficiency of optical manipulation techniques are the weak driving force of optical scattering and the small working range of optical gradient forces. The optothermal Marangoni convection enables effective control of flow fields through optical means, and particle manipulation based on this mechanism offers advantages such as a wide working range, strong driving force, and high flexibility.

The mechanical properties of the polymeric substrate or matrix where a cell grows affect cell behavior. Most studies have focused on relating elastic properties of polymeric substrates, which are time-independent, to cell behaviors. However, polymeric substrates and biological systems exhibit a time-dependent, often viscoelastic, mechanical response.
