Multiple multicomponent reactions reach an unparalleled level of connectivity, leading to highly complex adducts. Usually, only one type of transformation involving the same set of reactants takes place. However, in some occasions this is not the case. Selectivity issues then arise, and different scenarios are analyzed. The structural pattern of the reactants, the reaction design and the experimental conditions are the critical factors dictating selectivity in these processes.

Background: People with dementia who have a fall can experience both physical and psychological effects, often leading to diminished independence. Falls impose economic costs on the healthcare system. Despite elevated fall risks in dementia populations, evidence supporting effective home-based interventions remains limited.

Isatin (1-indole-2,3-dione) is a privileged nitrogen-containing heterocyclic framework that has received considerable attention in anticancer drug discovery owing to its general biological behavior and structural diversity. This review focuses on isatin-heterocyclic hybrids as a valuable model in the development of new anti-cancer drugs that may reduce side effects and help overcome drug resistance, discussing their synthetic approaches and mechanism of action as apoptosis induction through kinase inhibition. With various chemical modifications, isatin had an excellent ability to build powerful isatin hybrids and conjugates targeting multiple oncogenic pathways.

Introduction: Complex soft tissue injuries in the facial area can arise from various causes. Surgeons face significant challenges when reconstructing these injuries, as they must select appropriate materials based on texture and color, while also considering their composition and properties. The anterolateral thigh (ALT) flap has emerged as a versatile option in clinical reconstructive surgery, offering many advantages over other free flaps.

Two forms of nanocellulose-based sensing materials were developed for heavy metal ions (HMIs) detection: all-solid-state and suspension. In these materials, cellulose nanofibers (CNF), isolated from cellulose bleached pulp via homogenization, were employed as a support matrix. For all-solid-state optodes development free-base 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin (TPP) and zinc-porphyrin derivative (ZnPC) were deposited on CNF support.

Background: Emerging adults living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) need targeted support to equip them with the knowledge and motivation required for self-management, particularly as they transition from pediatric to adult care. While multicomponent digital health interventions have shown promise in addressing their multifaceted needs, traditional effectiveness studies provide little, if any, insights into which components work effectively, how they function, and for whom.
Objective: This study aims to explore the implementation of a multicomponent, text message-based digital intervention (Keeping in Touch; KiT) to provide early insights into which components may shape participants' transition experiences and how.
