The Multiplexed Structured Image Capture (MUSIC) technique is used to demonstrate single-shot multiframe passive imaging, with a nanosecond difference between the resulting images. This technique uses modulation of light from a scene before imaging, in order to encode the target's temporal evolution into spatial frequency shifts, each of which corresponds to a unique time and results in individual and distinct snapshots. The resulting images correspond to different effective imaging gate times, because of the optical path delays. Computer processing of the multiplexed single-shot image recovers the nanosecond-resolution evolution. The MUSIC technique is used to demonstrate imaging of a laser-induced plasma. Simultaneous single-shot measurements of electron numbers by coherent microwave scattering were obtained and showed good agreement with MUSIC characterization. The MUSIC technique demonstrates spatial modulation of images used for passive imaging. This allows multiple frames to be stacked into a single image. This method could also pave the way for real-time imaging and characterization of ultrafast processes and visualization, as well as general tracking of fast objects.

Neurons that encode odor information are fundamental to innate fear processes, yet how mitral/tufted (M/T) cells encode innate fear remains unknown. Here, we identify three different response patterns of M/T cells in the dorsal olfactory bulb (dOB) during active avoidance elicited by non-dehydrogenated 2,4,5-trimethylthiazole (nTMT) through in vivo calcium imaging and multielectrode recordings in mice, including enhanced responses, suppressed responses, and no response. Remarkably, suppressed response M/T cells encode active avoidance, whereas suppressed and enhanced response M/T cells jointly encode passive freezing.

The ability of PAM to spatially quantify and resolve cavitation activity offers a unique opportunity to correlate the energy of cavitation phenomena with locally observed bioeffects.
Objective: We aim to develop methods of measuring and reporting spatio-temporally varying cavitation energies that are energy-preserving, device-independent, and adequately normalized to the volume of tissue being affected by the reported cavitation activity.

Alterations in skeletal muscle morphology and composition are critical factors in cerebral palsy (CP), including changes in passive stiffness and in belly and fascicle lengths. In this study, we quantified the relative contributions of muscle and tendon to passive stiffness across the ankle range of motion in individuals with CP and typically developing (TD) peers. Background: Digital media frequently contains positive portrayals of alcohol content, which has been shown to be associated with alcohol-related cognitions and behaviors. Because youth are heavy media consumers and have access to unsupervised, repeat viewing of media content on their personal mobile devices, it is critical to understand the frequency of encountering alcohol content in adolescents' daily lives and how adolescents engage with the content.
Objective: This paper outlines the study protocol for examining adolescents' exposure to alcohol-related content in digital media within their natural environments.
