Periviability represents a complex threshold where there is a triangulation of medical capabilities, ethical judgement and the right of the infant to live. In India, with its disproportionate burden of preterm births, the management of infants born at the margins of viability (typically <28 weeks of gestation) remains fraught with legal and ethical challenges. This paper presents testimony from a primary care physician about the challenges of navigating post-assault health service referral options and judicial remedies for adolescent survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) in rural communities in eastern Bolivia. We examine the protections outlined in various international, regional, and national laws; discuss relevant legal instruments and policies that aim to safeguard the sexual and reproductive health rights of adolescents; and outline mechanisms for their enforcement. We then apply the availability, accessibility, acceptability, and quality framework to analyze the extent to which post-assault health services and judicial remedies for adolescent survivors of GBV are sufficient, equitable, and effective.

The reasons and consequences of this earlier Opinion are explained in detail, and corresponding guidelines for orthographic corrections are given, along with further guidance derived from more recently published Judicial Opinions.

Using complex network analysis, we reveal the organic nature of the US Caselaw, fundamentally anchored in common law. Through analysis of citation and bibliographic coupling networks, we shed light on the system's internal structure, unveiling communities delineated by regional, federal jurisdiction, and clustering based on similar legal citations.
