Here, we report findings in volunteers with bronchial asthma. Biopsies were obtained from the inner bronchial wall before and a short time again after segmental allergen provocation. In most of the baseline biopsies and in all evaluable biopsies after segmental allergen provocation, the follicular lymphoid tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry in the epithelium of these asthmatic patients. The basic occurrence of the tertiary lymphoid tissue in the bronchial mucosa of mild asthmatics was unexpected and may have consequences for the interpretation of pathophysiology, e.g., as a cause or consequence of bronchial asthma.

Objective: Although chest CT is the primary tool for evaluating bronchiectasis, accurately measuring its extent poses challenges. This study aimed to automatically quantify bronchiectasis using an artificial intelligence (AI)-based analysis of the bronchial tapering ratio on chest CT and assess its association with clinical outcomes in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Materials And Methods: COPD patients from two prospective multicenter cohorts were included.

Background: Recently, the quantitative measurement of the bronchi has gained attention due to its importance in understanding respiratory function and its application in diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The accurate measurement of bronchial changes in healthy individuals provides valuable baseline data for comparison in clinical practice.
Objectives: This study aims to quantitatively assess changes in segmental bronchial diameter and lumen area during inspiratory and expiratory phases.

Introduction: Non-absorbable sutures or Teflon pledgets (model number: 00801741041341, Bard, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA) are sometimes used for protection of the bronchial stump to prevent bronchial fistula. However, there have been reports of foreign body-related bronchial granulation in the distant phase. Treatment of this rare complication is challenging, and there are no reports in the literature of cases that ultimately underwent curative surgical excision.

Dodecyldimethylamine oxide (DDAO) is one of the most commonly used chemicals in household products, including spray types. We identified the potential toxicity mechanism using human bronchial epithelial cells. After 6 h of exposure, DDAO decreased cell viability (non-apoptotic cell death) and formed numerous small artificial vacuoles in the cytoplasm.

Long-term exposure to cadmium (Cd) is closely linked to an increased risk of lung cancer, yet the underlying mechanisms driving this malignant transformation remain elusive. Noncoding RNAs may hold the key to understanding the complex pathways involved in cadmium-induced carcinogenesis. This study reveals a novel regulatory network involving circ_000877, lnc237177, and miR-3192-5p, which targets cyclin-D1(CCND1) and matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2), thereby promoting the Cd-induced malignant transformation of human bronchial epithelial (16HBE) cells.
