Flake-shaped nanohybrids based on black phosphorus (BP) have been developed as multifunctional theranostic nanoplatforms for drug delivery, phototherapy and bioimaging. In this work, we report a facile strategy for fabrication of black phosphorus-Au nanoparticle hybrids (BP-AuNPs), which reveal an extraordinary near-infrared (NIR) photothermal transduction efficiency and drug delivery capacity. The applications of the nanocomposites as therapeutic agents for high-performance chemo-photothermal tumor therapy are accomplished in vitro and in vivo. BP-AuNPs also exhibit wonderful surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) activity under NIR laser excitation with a low Raman background, allowing BP-AuNPs to be used as a promising two-dimensional (2D) fingerprint nanoprobe for bio-SERS analysis. The cellular component identification and label-free live-cell bioimaging based on this type of 2D SERS substrate are generally investigated, which open up promising new perspectives in nanomedicine, including diagnosis, imaging and therapy.

Fingerprints are routinely used as evidence in forensic investigations. Fingermarks, any mark left by a donor whether a complete print or not, include sweat and oil excreted by the donor. The chemical components of fingermarks are typically analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

The conformation of the title mol-ecule, CHClNO, is maintained by intra-molecular N-H⋯O, C-H⋯O, and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions, creating (6), (5), and (6) motifs, respectively. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O, C-H⋯O, and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions connect the mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional network. Additionally, the mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯π inter-actions, forming layers parallel to the (002) plane.

The unit cell of the title compound, [Ni(CHNO)]·2CHOH, consists of a neutral complex and two methanol mol-ecules. In the complex, the two tridentate 2-[3-(benzo[][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-1-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl]-6-(1-pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine ligands coordinate to the central Ni ion through nitro-gen atoms of the pyrazole, pyridine and triazole groups, forming a pseudo-octa-hedral coordination sphere. Neighbouring mol-ecules are linked through weak C-H(pz)⋯π(ph) inter-actions into monoperiodic chains, which are further linked through weak C-H⋯H/N/C inter-actions into diperiodic layers.

Conventional one-dimensional gas chromatography methods for gasoline quality monitoring require separate analyses for different component classes, limiting analytical efficiency and unconventional additive detection. This study presents a comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC × GC-FID) platform enabling simultaneous quantification of regulated components and rapid screening of unconventional additives in a single analytical run. The method achieved excellent agreement with ASTM standards and high repeatability for BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes) and oxygenates in gasoline.

This study compared two nontargeted analytical techniques-headspace gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (HS-GC-IMS) and comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC × GC-MS)-to fingerprint the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of green beans from Ethiopia, Brazil, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. HS-GC-IMS enabled rapid differentiation of samples, detecting VOC signal regions that effectively clustered samples by origin with minimal preparation. GC × GC-MS offered higher chemical resolution, identifying 98 compounds, including methoxypyrazines, aldehydes, and alcohols, which significantly contributed to interorigin variability.
