Aging Biomarker Consortium (ABC), Beijing, China.
The global surge in the population of people 60 years and older, including that in China, challenges healthcare systems with rising age-related diseases. To address this demographic change, the Aging Biomarker Consortium (ABC) has launched the X-Age Project to develop a comprehensive aging evaluation system tailored to the Chinese population. Our goal is to identify robust biomarkers and construct composite aging clocks that capture biological age, defined as an individual's physiological and molecular state, across diverse Chinese cohorts.

The dominant technical noise of a free-running laser practically limits bright squeezed light generation, particularly within the MHz band. To overcome this, we develop a comprehensive theoretical model for nonclassical power stabilization, and propose a novel bright squeezed light generation scheme incorporating hybrid power noise suppression. Our approach integrates broadband passive power stabilization with nonclassical active stabilization, extending the feedback bandwidth to MHz frequencies.

Cough is a common symptom of many respiratory diseases, and parameters such as frequency, intensity, type and duration play important roles in disease screening, diagnosis and prognosis. Among these, cough frequency is the most widely applied metric. In current clinical practice, cough severity is primarily assessed based on patients' subjective symptom descriptions in combination with semi-structured questionnaires.

Background: Drape-forming is a cost-effective method used worldwide to manufacture bespoke ankle foot orthoses (AFOs). It involves draping a heated polymer material sheet over a positive cast of the user's limb. Previous research has shown that the manual nature of drape-forming can influence the thickness of the final AFO and even lead to structures that are inadequately rigid to be clinically effective.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly recognized for its capacity to transform medicine. While publications applying AI in allergy and immunology have increased, clinical implementation substantially lags behind other specialties. By mid-2024, over 1,000 FDA-approved AI-enabled medical devices existed, but none specifically addressed allergy and immunology.
