Generating chimeric zebrafish by transplantation is extremely useful for live imaging in developmental, stem cell, and cancer biology, and to answer the questions of how cells acquire, keep, and/or change their fate. However, as it is technically challenging, the use of transplantation approach remains very limited by the zebrafish community. In this study, we show that this cell grafting operation can be easily achieved by using a conventional pneumatic microinjector normally used for microinjections. Compared with previously published protocols, which need additional transplantation apparatus, this alternative transplantation method works well, but needs a simpler experimental setup, and is more accessible to all investigators.

The Kuntscher nail, once a pioneering solution for femoral shaft fracture fixation, has largely fallen out of use with the emergence of modern interlocking intramedullary systems. However, retained Kuntscher nails may still be encountered in older patients and can pose significant technical challenges when removal is required, especially in cases of incarceration. Standard closed extraction methods are often ineffective, necessitating alternative surgical strategies.

Stereotactic neurointervention is a common procedure for biopsy, injection, ablation, and implantation of electrodes for deep brain stimulation. Guided by preoperative imaging, conventional approaches are mostly performed manually, lacking operation stability and interactive feedback. The intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) guidance enables both structural and functional assessment during operation, permitting interactive adaptation to tissue deformation and avoidance of critical anatomical regions.

The determination of rare earth elements (REEs) in refractory materials by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectrometry with conventional sample introduction using pneumatic nebulization requires the dissolution of these samples, which is difficult. This work presents an optimized method using electrothermal vaporization (ETV) coupled to ICP optical emission spectrometry (OES) for the direct determination of REEs in refractory geological materials. Solid sampling eliminates the dissolution step, thereby increasing sample throughput.

Unlabelled: This paper describes a promising candidate molecule, investigates the pattern of scaffold composition which arises and assesses the effect of the agent on its mechanical properties.
Methods: Scaffold samples were fabricated using a commercial extrusion bioprinter equipped with a pneumatic printhead fitted with a 21G conical nozzle. The Pore Printability Index, and the area and perimeter of the pore within the grid patterns were quantified using ImageJ software (NIH, USA).

Numerous studies have attempted to develop medical devices using vine robots due to their potential for frictionless locomotion and adaptability in confined environments. However, for applications in colonoscopy, challenges such as high stiffness, limited steering capabilities, difficulties in integrating tethered sensors, and issues related to safe retraction have hindered their practical application. This article addresses these challenges and presents a comprehensive solution that simultaneously resolves these issues while preserving the intrinsic features of vine robots.
