Background: Studies on the interaction of cancer cells with other cells (fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and immune cells) of the tumor microenvironment (TME) have led to the development of many novel targeted therapies. More recently, the notion that neuronal cells of the TME could impact various processes supporting cancer progression has gained momentum. Tumor-associated neurons release neurotransmitters into the TME that, in turn, bind to specific receptors on different target cells, supporting cancer progression.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways. Standard treatments, such as inhaled corticosteroids like fluticasone, beclomethasone, and budesonide, are effective in managing asthma symptoms by reducing inflammation through immune suppression. However, prolonged corticosteroid therapy can impair vitamin D metabolism, exacerbating vitamin D deficiency, which is essential for immune regulation and anti-inflammatory responses via the vitamin D receptor (VDR).

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell and natural killer (NK) cell therapeutic approaches have significantly reshaped the immuno-oncology domain for hematological malignancies. These approaches have sustained therapeutic results in patients with treatment-resistant disease and exhibited robust therapeutic efficacy. However, poor immune cell trafficking, tumor-induced immune suppression, and complex modification limit their clinical application in solid tumors.

Cancer immunotherapy has revolutionized oncology by leveraging the immune system to combat tumors. Among various biomarkers, neoantigens and tumor mutational burden (TMB) have emerged as critical factors in tailoring personalized treatments. Neoantigens are tumor-specific peptides displayed on cancer cell surfaces, derived from somatic mutations.

Background And Objectives: The objective of present study was to assess the relationship between the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) and the Glycemic Index (GI), serum TNF-α (tumor necrosis factor alpha), IL-6 (interleukin 6), serum asprosin, and omentin adipokines in prediabetic adult women.
Methods: The study included a total of 60 women: 30 women with prediabetes, aged 19-50 years, with a body mass index (BMI) ranging from 25 to 35 kg/m, and 30 healthy women with similar age and BMI as the control group. Dietary data for calculating DII and GI were obtained from food frequency questionnaires and food consumption records, respectively.
