We present two-step phase-shifting differential-recording digital holographic microscopy (TPD-DH in microscopy) for phase imaging of microscopic transparent elements. Two CCDs are employed to record two interferograms at two different defocusing distances. The interferograms on the two CCD cameras are shifted for a phase retarder 0 and π via an all-optics phase shifting unit. A novel algorithm is proposed to reconstruct both amplitude and phase distributions of the object wave from the recorded interferograms. This method has the same spectrum bandwidth and measurement accuracy with those of conventional four-step phase-shifting interferometry (FS-PSI), whereas it reduces the measurement time by half.

Injuries to the distal tibiofibular joint are often associated with ankle fractures, sports-related injuries, or instability, whereas proximal tibiofibular joint injuries are more commonly present with lateral- or posterolateral-compartment lesions of the knee. These conditions may be related to the relative motion between the tibia and fibula; however, precise movement patterns have yet to be fully elucidated. This study analyzes the relative motion of the tibia and fibula in 16 healthy adults (32 bones; 8 males and 8 females) throughout a normal gait cycle.

The collision of the Indian and Eurasian plates during the Eocene represents a major tectonic shift that significantly altered biotic dynamics and promoted species diversification across the Oriental region. To explain the diversification of taxa from the Indian subcontinent into Southeast Asia, two principal hypotheses have been proposed: the "Biotic-ferry" and "Step-stone" models. The subfamily Perittopinae, a lineage of semi-aquatic bugs comprising a single genus and 20 extant species, provides an ideal system for testing these hypotheses due to its disjunct distribution spanning the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

Purpose Of Review: Nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients with BCG-unresponsive disease have limited treatment options beyond radical cystectomy. With ongoing BCG shortages and the urgent need for bladder-preserving alternatives, this review examines the emerging role of oncolytic virus therapy as a novel intravesical treatment approach for this challenging patient population.
Recent Findings: Multiple oncolytic viral platforms have entered clinical trials for NMIBC treatment, demonstrating promising efficacy and safety profiles.

Many ant species show dramatic shifts in behaviour when infected with parasites, but the molecular basis of these behavioural changes is not well understood. An example is the wood ant, Formica aserva, which serves as an intermediate host for the lancet liver fluke, Dicrocoelium dendriticum. Infected ants leave their nests during the cool hours of the day, ascend a flower and then attach themselves to a petal with their mandibles.
