Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and is a hot topic in cardiovascular disease research. Western medicine treats CHD with stent implantation, anti-angina pectoris, anti-platelet aggregation and other operations or drugs. According to the whole concept and the characteristics of syndrome differentiation, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treats CHD according to different syndromes and points out that qi deficiency and blood stasis are the basic pathogenesis of CHD.

Background: Compound Danshen dripping pills (CDDP), a traditional Chinese medicine, has had an extensive application in the treatment of angina pectoris (AP) in China. However, research on the bioactive ingredients and underlying mechanisms of CDDP in AP remains unclear.
Objective: In the present study, we explored the major chemical components and potential molecular mechanisms linked to the anti-angina effects of CDDP through the application of network pharmacology and molecular docking.

Background/purpose: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) should be regarded as a high risk factor for myocardial infarction (MI). In addition to anti-hypertensive effect, calcium channel blockers (CCBs) were frequently used as anti-angina drugs in patients with MI. However, the association between CCBs and MI in RA remains unclear.

Background: Low handgrip strength (HS) and declining gait speed (GS) are increasingly obvious with aging, requiring effective, and safe medication for treatment. Trimetazidine (TMZ) modified release tablets, a common anti-angina drug, has potential benefits for alleviating the condition, but this has not yet been fully studied and therefore is the aim of this study.
Methods: This is a prospective randomized controlled study.
