A phytochemical study of an extract from transformed root cultures of Nepeta teydea, induced by Agrobacterium rhizogenes, led to the isolation of the following new compounds: the sesquiterpene (-)-cinalbicol, the diterpene teydeadione (6,11,14-trihydroxy-12-methoxy-abieta-5,8,11,13,15-penten-7-one), a degraded C23-triterpene (teydealdehyde) and three fatty acid esters of lanosta-7,24-dien-3β-ol. The propyl ester of rosmarinic acid was also isolated for the first time from a natural source. In addition, two dehydroabietane diterpenes, eight triterpenes and eighteen known phenolic compounds were obtained. The antifeedant, cytotoxic and phytotoxic activities of the isolated compounds have also been investigated.

Chelating agent contributes to the remediation of heavy metal contaminations, but it remains unclear how they affect the transformation of radioactive pollutants and microbial traits in phytoremediation. We comprehensively investigated on the uranium (U) speciation and microbial communities in the rhizosphere of Macleaya cordata, Paspalum scrobiculatum and Bamboo willow, and analyzed the accumulation of U in the three plants after the addition of chelating agents including 0.1 mmol kg siderophore (DFO) and 2.

Cadmium telluride quantum dots (CdTe QDs) have been increasing in the environment because of their large application in solar panels and biological industries. However, the potential role and bioaccumulation behavior of CdTe QDs in plants are unknown. Herein, the toxicity of CdTe QDs on the growth and the underlying mechanisms were explored in rice.

Salt stress is one of the main abiotic stresses that affects plant growth and development, as well as crop yield. A large number of studies have reported that the WRKY gene family plays significant roles in the plant responses to salt stress, but the underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown, and research on WRKY proteins in sorghum is also limited. In this study, we identified the sorghum gene SbWRKY51, which encodes a group II WRKY transcription factor.

To investigate the dislodgement resistance of AH Plus and CeraSeal sealers to root dentin conditioned with Dual Rinse 1-hydroxyethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid (HEDP) (DR HEDP) or Triton and to correlate their effects on the organic and inorganic content of the root dentin treated with test irrigants.Sixty single-rooted extracted human teeth were divided into two groups and irrigated with DR HEDP or Triton. These samples were further divided into two subgroups to study the dislodgement resistance of AH Plus and CeraSeal sealers.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to create a rapid admixture of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) for chairside use in clinical settings to remediate the challenges associated with root canal treatment and pulp capping.
Methods: Synthesized AgNPs at ratios of 10 and 25% were added to commercially available MTA to create an admixture. The admixture was subjected to structural and morphological assessment using X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) analysis, Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.
