Invasive liver abscess syndrome (IKLAS) is a severe condition characterized by liver abscesses with systemic complications, often caused by hypervirulent strains. We present a 65-year-old woman with no predisposing factors who developed IKLAS complicated by septic pulmonary embolism and polymicrobial co-infections. The patient presented with a one-month history of right upper abdominal pain, fever (39.

Fungal embolism of the infrarenal aorta is a rare but critical complication of infective endocarditis, associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Outcomes depend heavily on timely detection and management. Here, we present an extremely rare case of acute aortic occlusion caused by Candidaalbicans originating from a valve other than the one that was replaced.

Background: Delayed device embolization is a rare but dangerous complication after transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER).
Case Summary: A 79-year-old man with acute decompensated severe structural mitral regurgitation underwent TEER with 2 clips after failed medical attempts at recompensation. Six days later, 1 clip embolized into the abdominal aorta, resulting in recurrent, progressive decompensation and severe mitral regurgitation, requiring urgent mitral valve replacement.

Background/aim: Neutropenic enterocolitis (NE), also known as typhlitis, is a life-threatening gastrointestinal complication primarily affecting immunocompromised patients undergoing intensive chemotherapy. Its management becomes particularly challenging when compounded by comorbidities such as Behçet's disease with gastrointestinal involvement.
Case Report: We report the case of a 44-year-old male with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and intestinal Behçet's disease who developed severe NE during induction chemotherapy.

Infective endocarditis is a severe infectious disease that, in addition to cardiac complications such as heart failure and arrhythmias caused by valve damage, may also lead to extracardiac complications such as septic embolization, metastatic abscesses, and mycotic aneurysms. Here, we report a rare case of splenic infarction resulting from infective endocarditis, subsequently leading to the development of a splenic artery aneurysm three weeks post-surgery confirmed both by CTA and DSA. Following arterial embolization of the aneurysm, the patient eventually recovered completely.
