Background: Understanding respiratory motions of liver and its surrogate organs is crucial for precise dose delivery in liver cancer radiotherapy. Although these motions have been studied for respiratory motion management in the supine posture, few studies have quantified them and evaluated their correlations in the upright posture.
Purpose: This study quantified the respiratory motions of liver and surrogate organs and evaluated the correlations between the liver motions and surrogate signals for respiratory motion monitoring in both the supine and upright postures.

Introduction: Medical physicists play a critical role in ensuring image quality and patient safety, but their routine evaluations are limited in scope and frequency compared to the breadth of clinical imaging practices. An electronic radiologist feedback system can augment medical physics oversight for quality improvement. This work presents a novel quality feedback system integrated into the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) at a university hospital system, designed to facilitate feedback from radiologists to medical physicists and technologist leaders.

Statement Of Problem: The reproducibility of positioning the maxillary occlusal plane in an articulator with a facebow remains debated. Its clinical use is widespread, yet its reliability and clinical outcomes compared to other transfer methods under standardized conditions remain uncertain.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the intra-operator reproducibility of maxillary positioning on an articulator using a facebow compared to a standardized transfer table.

The aim of the study was to validate a new method for semiautomatic subtraction of [Tc]Tc-sestamibi and [Tc]NaTcO SPECT 3-dimensional datasets using principal component analysis (PCA) against the results of parathyroid surgery and to compare its performance with an interactive method for visual comparison of images. We also sought to identify factors that affect the accuracy of lesion detection using the two methods. Scintigraphic data from [Tc]Tc-sestamibi and [Tc]NaTcO SPECT were analyzed using semiautomatic subtraction of the 2 registered datasets based on PCA applied to the region of interest including the thyroid and an interactive method for visual comparison of the 2 image datasets.

To evaluate intraoperative ventilatory mechanics during robotic-assisted hysterectomy in obese women with endometrial cancer and introduce the concept of a physiologic "ceiling effect" in respiratory strain. We conducted a retrospective cohort study of 89 women with biopsy-confirmed endometrial cancer who underwent robotic-assisted total hysterectomy between 2011 and 2015. Intraoperative ventilatory parameters, including plateau airway pressure and static lung compliance, were recorded at five-minute intervals.
