Poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation (PARylation), a crucial post-translational modification, is catalyzed by ADP-ribosyltransferases (ARTs) and has significant implications in various cellular processes, including DNA damage response, cell signaling, and immune processes. Aberrant PAR signaling is implicated in numerous neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer, Parkinson, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and cerebellar ataxia, where increased PAR levels and PARP1 activity are commonly observed. However, Huntington disease exhibits a unique characteristic: reduced PAR levels and impaired PARP1 activity even in prodromal phase.

Hyperelastic material characterization is crucial for sensing and understanding the behavior of soft materials-such as tissues, rubbers, hydrogels, and polymers-under quasi-static loading before failure. Traditional methods typically rely on uniaxial tensile tests, which require the cumbersome preparation of dumbbell-shaped samples for clamping in a uniaxial testing machine. In contrast, indentation-based methods, which are non-destructive and can be conducted without sample preparation, remain underexplored.

Design: Observational study using two sources of secondary data: the Health Survey for England (HSE) and the Scottish Health Survey (SHeS). Data from 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017 (SHeS only) and 2018 (HSE only) were combined to create a single data set.

Due to sizeable anthropogenic CO emissions, China's transition towards carbon neutrality will reshape global CO emissions, offering insights into warming levels, extreme events, overshoot, tipping points, and regional climate impacts. Here we develop an interdisciplinary and multi-model framework integrating up-to-date emissions inventory and China's net-zero pathway to construct a reality-aligned, sector-specific combined scenario (SSP2-com) for greenhouse gases and air pollutants across global-to-regional, national-to-provincial, and multi-resolution-grid scales. SSP2-com projects CO₂ peaking in concentration globally by 2062, and achieving net-zero emissions by 2072, driven by Asia-Pacific-particularly China-via energy and industrial reductions.

Background: Available fluid biomarkers, neuroimaging techniques, and clinical assessments may enhance prediction of conversion to secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (SPMS).
Objectives: To identify robust real-world predictors of MS progression in the literature.
Methods: A systematic review was conducted in EMBASE.
