Introduction: Opioid-related deaths among perinatal populations have increased sharply in the United States. Whether the recent ascendence of illicit fentanyl and other synthetic opioids in the drug supply translates to increasing prenatal opioid use disorder (OUD) remains unknown. This study tested whether California's comparatively late fentanyl influx, in 2019, was associated with a subsequent increase in OUD among pregnant people.

Introduction: Cannabis use disorder (CUD) is a growing global health concern, with limited pharmacological treatments currently available despite increasing prevalence and legalization trends.
Areas Covered: This review explores the landscape of pharmacotherapies for CUD, including both repurposed agents and emerging investigational compounds. We summarize findings from recent systematic reviews and meta-analyses, with attention to mechanisms of action and clinical relevance.

Introduction: Given the rising number of studies on synthetic osmotic dilators, there is a lack of comprehensive reviews for their use compared with other commonly used cervical ripening methods. This study aimed to examine the maternal and neonatal safety and efficacy in cervical ripening and labor induction using synthetic osmotic dilators compared with pharmacologic agents (prostaglandin E, prostaglandin E, oxytocin) for labor induction.
Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and cohort studies was conducted, using MEDLINE, Embase, CINAHL, and Cochrane Library databases search.

Introduction: Brain tumor classification remains one of the most challenging tasks in medical image analysis, with diagnostic errors potentially leading to severe consequences. Existing methods often fail to fully exploit all relevant features, focusing on a limited set of deep features that may miss the complexity of the task.
Methods: In this paper, we propose a novel deep learning model combining a Swin Transformer and AE-cGAN augmentation to overcome challenges such as data imbalance and feature extraction.

Excessive fossil fuel combustion has accelerated renewable energy development, with hydrogen energy emerging as a promising alternative due to its high energy density and environmental compatibility. Photocatalytic hydrogen production through solar energy conversion represents a viable approach for sustainable development. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have garnered significant research interest owing to their structural tunability, well-defined catalytic sites, and post-synthetic modification capabilities.
