A recent widespread concept is that ultrasound-guided central venous catheter insertion is a mandatory method. Some techniques have been introduced for ultrasound-guided central venous catheterization. Among them, short-axis lateral in-plane technique is considered to be the most useful technique for internal jugular vein access. Therefore, we used this technique for the insertion of a large-bore cuffed tunneled dual-lumen catheter for hemodialysis. Additionally, a lesser number of catheter angulations may lead to good flow rates and catheter function; we recommend that skin puncture site in the neck at the posterior triangle is better than the Sedillot's triangle. Using this approach, we can reduce the possible complications of pinching and kinking of the catheter.

DOTANOC avidity is a well-known feature of head and neck paragangliomas, detected using 68Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT due to their high somatostatin receptor expression. However, other hyper vascular tumours can also show increased tracer uptake, requiring further evaluation. We present a case of DOTANOC avid soft tissue mass in the right posterior cervical triangle on 68Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT, initially suspected to be a paraganglioma.

With the advent of new alternative methods for rapid toxicity screening of chemicals comes the need for new statistical methodologies which appropriately synthesize the large amount of data collected. For example, transcriptomic assays can be used to assess the impact of a chemical on thousands of genes, but current approaches to analyzing the data treat each gene separately and do not allow sharing of information among genes within pathways. Furthermore, the methods employed are fully parametric and do not account for changes in distribution shape that may occur at high exposure levels.

Purpose: To describe a case of two arterial rings of the anterior cerebral artery (ACA)-the anterior communicating artery (ACoA) complex diagnosed by magnetic resonance angiography (MRA).
Methods: A 72-year-old woman with a brain tumor underwent cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and MRA using a 3-Tesla scanner. MRA was performed using a standard 3-dimensional time-of-flight technique.

: Hypertrophic olivary degeneration (HOD) is a rare form of trans-synaptic degeneration involving the Guillain-Mollaret triangle, characterized by enlargement of the inferior olivary nucleus-unlike the atrophy typical of most neurodegenerative processes. It is usually associated with stroke, surgical injury, or demyelination, but rarely follows hemorrhage from a cavernous malformation (CM). This report presents a case of HOD secondary to a mesencephalic CM hemorrhage, with emphasis on imaging findings and diagnostic considerations.
