Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a class of recently discovered noncoding RNAs, exhibit a distinctive feature in comparison to other noncoding RNAs, such as microRNAs (miRNAs) and long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs). They are characterized by the formation of a covalent bond between the 3' and 5' ends through a process known as back-splicing, rendering them remarkably resistant to degradation by exonucleases, particularly RNase R. This inherent stability contributes to their prolonged expression compared to their linear counterparts.

Background/PurposeIn the decades since George Engel proposed his Bio-Psycho-Social model in 1977, psychiatry has been increasingly divided into those that emphasised either the brain or the mind. This paper recognises Edwin (Ed) Harari's clinical work and teaching at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne, which was exemplary in the integration of the brain and mind, and the practice of Engel's model in this most challenging environment.ConclusionsEd symbolised the applicability and value of integrating psychodynamic thinking to general psychiatry rather than encouraging clinicians to be dogmatic in any one approach.

Background: Impostor phenomenon (IP) is a common experience among healthcare professionals, characterised by persistent feelings of inadequacy, fear of being exposed as a fraud, and self-doubt, despite external evidence of competence. In healthcare simulation, where educators frequently transition between roles and responsibilities, little is known about how simulation educators experience and navigate IP throughout their careers. This study aims to explore the lived experiences of IP among healthcare simulation educators.

Background: To transition to a fully digital workflow, a pathology department in a German university hospital reorganized its processes, upgrading and integrating new technologies such as an updated laboratory information system and high-throughput scanners. While the visions of digital pathology follow a "promissory rhetoric" of improved patient care, studies name technological and professional challenges of digital pathology. We examined the experiences of the pathology staff with the digital transformation process from an occupational health perspective, focusing on the mutual influences between digital transformation and work-related psychosocial demands and resources.
