Side on! Combined FTIR and NMR studies revealed the presence of a side-on nitrosyl species in the zeolite Cu-SSZ-13. This intermediate is very similar to those found in nitrite reductase enzyme systems. The identification of this intermediate led to the proposal of a reaction mechanism that is fully consistent with the results of both kinetic and spectroscopic studies.

Ionic liquids (ILs) are a class of organic salts with melting points below 100°C. Owing to their unique chemical and physical properties, they are used as solvents and catalysts in various chemical transformations, progressively replacing common volatile organic solvents (VOCs) in green synthetic applications. However, their intrinsic ionic nature can restrict the use of mass spectrometric techniques to monitor the time progress of a reaction occurring in an IL medium, thus preventing one from following the formation of the reaction products or intercepting the reaction intermediates.

Background: Risk stratification in posterior circulation ischemic stroke (PCIS) is challenging. Although the Posterior Circulation Ischemic Stroke Outcome Score (PCISOS) was developed to address this, its utility in minor PCIS and in identifying homogeneous populations for clinical trials or treatment-responsive subgroups remains uncertain.
Methods: CHANCE-2 (Clopidogrel in High-Risk Patients With Acute Non-disabling Cerebrovascular Events-II) was a multicenter, randomized trial that enrolled patients with minor stroke or high-risk transient ischemic attack who carried CYP2C19 loss-of-function alleles.

Allyl sulfones are common motifs in many drugs and natural products, exhibiting a wide range of biological activities such as anticancer and antibacterial properties, etc. An overview is provided on the synthesis of allylic sulfones via generation of metal π-allyl complexes in metal-catalyzed sulfonylation over the period from 2020 to the present. The generation process of metal π-allyl complexes is introduced from the perspective of reaction mechanism and the reaction processes such as nucleophilic substitution, insertion of SO, and reductive elimination involving metal π-allyl complexes is discussed.

Ambroxol (AMB), a common expectorant, enters aquatic environments via wastewater, yet its ecological risks remain unclear. Under UV exposure (15 mJ·cm, λ = 185-400 nm), AMB undergoes photolysis, among the photoproducts, 4-((2-amino-3-bromobenzyl)amino) cyclohexanol (P1) and 2-amino-3,5-dibromobenzaldehyde (DBA) are major species, comprising over 50% of the total photoproduct peak area at the photolytic plateau. Acute toxicity tests with AMB, P1, and DBA in four aquatic species at different trophic levels revealed: the highest sensitivity in (LC = 0.

Background: Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) typically responds well to a combination of treatments with favorable prognosis in children 1 to 9 years old. However, infants may fare worse due to receiving less aggressive local therapy for concerns about long-term effects of surgery/radiation. This study investigates the clinical characteristics, treatment approach, and survival outcomes of RMS in children under 2.
