Background And Purpose: White matter hyperintensity (WMH) impairs cognitive function but is not evident in the early stage, raising the need to explore the underlying mechanism. We aimed to investigate the potential role of network structure-function coupling (SC-FC coupling) in cognitive performance of WMH patients.
Methods: A total of 617 participants with WMH (mean age = 61 [SD = 8]; 287 females [46.

Background: To analyze penetrating extremity injuries at a Scandinavian urban Level-1 trauma center regarding incidence, mechanism of injury, imaging approach and clinical outcome.
Methods: A retrospective study (2013-2016) of penetrating injuries to the extremities based on a Trauma Registry. Retrieved variables included patient demographics, injury characteristics, time to CT and 30-day morbidity.

Neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy (nICT) has demonstrated significant potential in improving pathological response rates and survival outcomes for patients with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). However, substantial interindividual variability in therapeutic outcomes highlights the urgent need for more precise predictive tools to guide clinical decision-making. Traditional biomarkers remain limited in both predictive performance and clinical feasibility.

Design: Longitudinal retrospective cohort analysis.
Setting: This study was nested within the AlzEye cohort, which links longitudinal multimodal retinal imaging data routinely collected from a large tertiary ophthalmic institution in London, UK, with nationally held hospital admissions data across England.

We propose a Biophysically Restrained Analog Integrated Neural Network (BRAINN), an analog electrical network that models the dynamics of brain function. The network interconnects analog electrical circuits that simulate two tightly coupled brain processes: (1) propagation of an action potential, and (2) regional cerebral blood flow in response to the metabolic demands of signal propagation. These two processes are modeled by two branches of an electrical circuit comprising a resistor, a capacitor, and an inductor.
