Fahr's syndrome is a rare neurological condition marked by unusual calcifications in the basal ganglia and other brain regions, often resulting from metabolic disorders, such as hypoparathyroidism. Secondary hypoparathyroidism, a frequent complication of total thyroidectomy, can lead to Fahr's syndrome, manifesting as movement disorders, seizures, psychiatric symptoms and indications of calcium deficiency. This case report discusses a woman in her mid-30s who developed Fahr's syndrome due to secondary hypoparathyroidism after total thyroidectomy.

Foramen on Frontal Process of Zygomatic Bone.

Foramina in the orbit are well described in the literature. But the author of the present study observed an unusual foramen in the frontal process of the zygomatic bone, not reported so far, as far as the author knows. This foramen was observed in 2 skulls, in one skull bilaterally and in another skull unilaterally on the left side.

Purpose: To report five cases of structural weakness at the haptic-optic junction of the CT Lucia 602 intraocular lens (IOL) (Carl Zeiss Meditec Inc., Dublin, CA), including two optic breakages and three optic microfractures, while using the Yamane flanged intrascleral haptic fixation surgery (FIHFS).

Methods: A retrospective chart review of five cases that underwent Yamane FIHFS by the same surgeon between 2020 and 2022 was performed.

The development of non-Hodgkin lymphoma following liver transplant is rare. We present an unusual case of a 40-year-old female patient with morbid obesity who had undergone a deceased donor liver transplant for an unresectable neuroendocrine tumor of the liver 12 years ago. She presented with a lesion in the tail of pancreas that was suggestive of a recurrent neuroendocrine tumor.
