The development of non-Hodgkin lymphoma following liver transplant is rare. We present an unusual case of a 40-year-old female patient with morbid obesity who had undergone a deceased donor liver transplant for an unresectable neuroendocrine tumor of the liver 12 years ago. She presented with a lesion in the tail of pancreas that was suggestive of a recurrent neuroendocrine tumor.

The rising prevalence of morbid obesity (BMI > = 40) has introduced significant challenges in liver transplantation, particularly as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) becomes a leading cause of end-stage liver disease. Morbidly obese transplant candidates face higher perioperative complications, increased waitlist mortality, and worse post-transplant outcomes. This review explores these challenges and examines current strategies for managing morbid obesity in this population.

Introduction: The objective of this study is to evaluate the role of minimally invasive surgery for the management of necrotising pancreatitis in acute settings and to propose tailor-made approaches to deal with various locations of pancreatic necrosis.

Patients And Methods: Three hundred and thirteen patients underwent laparoscopic management of necrotising pancreatitis in this study period from January 2010 to June 2021, out of which 122 patients underwent minimally invasive necrosectomy for acute necrotising pancreatitis. The remaining 191 patients underwent laparoscopic internal drainage in the form of cystogastrostomy/cystojejunostomy for walled-off pancreatic necrosis.

The aim of this study was to isolate, identify and compare the pathogenic bacteria prevalent on the overcoats of doctors, residents and students from medical and surgical wards, to determine their antimicrobial sensitivity, compare them with isolates from pus collected over the same period, and ultimately make recommendations. Using standard procedures, bacteria were isolated and identified from the hem and pocket mouths of the overcoats of 80 medical personnel, and drug sensitivity tests were carried out. Of the samples from the overcoats, 95% (n=152) were positive for bacterial isolates like Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella sp.
