Article Abstract
Purpose: Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common childhood psychiatric disorder characterized by abnormal levels of hyperactivity and distractibility. However, very few studies have been conducted to examine how youth with ADHD view themselves in the context of their disorder. The aim of this project was to examine what youth think about having ADHD by collecting data in a naturalistic setting - a popular social networking site.
Methods: Using ethnographic content analysis, we examined text from 25 public, English-language Facebook groups with "ADHD" in the title. The groups chosen were those that were either created or administered by someone with a current high school or university affiliation and had at least 100 members. To capture narratives from youth, postings between September 1, 2006, and April 30, 2007 were examined; postings from individuals who self-identified as high school or university students were included.
Results: The dominant theme that was identified (202 of 479 coded items) concerned the collective construction of a positive group identity. The Facebook groups functioned like electronic support groups, with members providing support to one another and sharing experiences and information, including advice about medication. Many jokes referencing ADHD stereotypes were posted.
Conclusion: Youth used the supportive environment of an electronic group to develop a positive group identity and to reject negative aspects of common stereotypes related to young people with ADHD.

Background: Failure to fail involves assigning passing grades to students who have not achieved course or clinical objectives at a satisfactory level. The literature has shown that this phenomenon occurs more frequently in the clinical setting due to several issues, including the increased subjectivity of clinical evaluation tools and processes, unclear policies, and lack of administrative support to fail students. The question remains: What is the thought process that is used by faculty to determine if a student passes or fails in a clinical experience?
Purpose: To explore the decision-making process used by pre-licensure clinical nursing faculty when they are determining whether to pass or fail an unsafe student enrolled in a clinical course.

Background: Social media platforms, such as Facebook, provide a dynamic public space where users of various racial and ethnic backgrounds share content related to identity, politics, and other social issues. These platforms allow racially minoritized groups to both challenge racial silencing and express cultural pride. Anti-LGBTQ measures and political discourse have significantly intensified in Hungary since 2020, with the initiation and unanimous support of Fidesz and KDNP, the governing parties since 2010. To understand the political context in which these took place, this study investigates how prominent Hungarian politicians-government and opposition alike-discursively constructed the concept of LGBTQ people in their social media communication prior to this wave of anti-LGBTQ legislation. Specifically, it turns to the 2019 social media communication of 44 prominent Hungarian politicians from 12 political parties and groups.
