Unlabelled: Surgical treatment of cancer patients with severe neurological symptoms is a complex multidisciplinary problem that often does not lead to a positive disease's outcome. It is also not always possible to perform operative treatment in a short time frame after paraparesis debut.
Objective: To evaluate the impact of the timeframe from the onset of neurological disorders to surgical decompression in patients with plegia, caused by the neural structures compression by the spinal tumor, on the disease's outcome.

Sarcomatoid carcinoma is a biphasic tumour characterized by the co-existence of epithelial and mesenchymal differentiation that may contain heterologous components. These tumours are rare in domestic animals and have only been reported in the kidney and prostate gland. In this report we describe a French Bulldog with a perianal swelling that resulted in dyschezia.

A 58-year-old male with good past health presented with headache and visual disturbance for 1 month. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were performed, showing a large aggressive midline mass with epicenter at the skull base and sellar-suprasellar region. There was marked heterogenous enhancement and intratumoral calcifications.

Gene delivery to macrophages holds great promise for cancer immunotherapy. However, traditional gene delivery methods exhibit low transfection efficiency in macrophages. The star-shaped topological structure of polymers is known to encapsulate genes inside their cores, thereby facilitating sustained release of the genetic material.
