Objective: To prospectively investigate the presentation of germ cell tumours (GCTs) of the testis in terms of stage or histology, as the incidence of this disease in increasing.
Patients And Methods: Patients diagnosed with GCT of the testis between 1983 and 2002 were categorised into three periods depending on the date of diagnosis of the GCT, and the presentational characteristics assessed. RESULTS There was a significant increase in the proportion of patients presenting with stage I disease (59% to 78%) and seminoma (43% to 58%) over this period. There was also a significant reduction in the size of the primary tumour (5 to 4 cm).
Conclusion: A greater proportion of patients with GCT are presenting with stage I seminoma, the reasons for which are unclear, although earlier diagnosis through improved awareness of GCT may be important.

Myoepithelial carcinoma (MECA) is a malignant neoplasm composed exclusively of myoepithelial cells and accounts for less than 1% of all salivary gland tumors. Its diagnosis is often challenging due to histologic overlaps with benign lesions and its variable morphologic presentation. Although molecular profiling has emerged as a valuable tool in salivary gland tumor classification, the genetic landscape of MECA remains incompletely defined.

Paediatric abdominal masses encompass a wide range of differential diagnoses including various inflammatory, benign and malignant aetiologies. A thorough clinical examination and imaging are the preliminary investigations of choice to ascertain the nature and extent of the abdominal mass. Fine needle aspiration biopsy cytology (FNABC) is a rapid, reliable and cost-effective tool for the definitive diagnosis.

Introduction: We report a case of nonseminoma germ cell tumor, in which solitary bone metastasis was detected by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) after systemic chemotherapy, and resolution was achieved with stereotactic radiotherapy.
Case Presentation: A 42-year-old man was diagnosed with right-sided testicular cancer, T1N1M0, and right high orchiectomy was performed. Pathology revealed a mixed germ cell tumor.

Introduction: Segmented filamentous bacteria (SFB) colonization dynamics are crucial for host immune regulation. Given this, the present study specifically examined the functions of SFB flagellin in bacterial adhesion, cellular internalization, and immune modulation.
Methods: and were engineered to express murine and rat SFB flagellin genes.

Gonadal development and spermatogenesis critically influence fish reproductive performance. Neomales (genetically female but functionally male) are indispensable for generating all-female populations, yet their spermatogenesis remains understudied. In the present study, we systematically investigated gonadal maturation in neomales of the large yellow croaker (), an economically important marine species exhibiting sexually dimorphic growth.
