Introduction: Total splenectomy in children increases the risk of overwhelming post-splenectomy infection (OPSI). Laparoscopic subtotal splenectomy (LSS) is a technique to preserve splenic function while managing disease burden in pediatric hematologic disorders.
Materials And Surgical Technique: Three children aged 4 to 9 years with juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) or hereditary spherocytosis underwent LSS.

We present a case of third ventricle colloid cyst surgical resection using a tubular-based endoscopic transcortical approach. Third ventricle colloid are rare benign lesions typically found in the anterolateral part of the third ventricle, close to the foramen of Monro. Several surgical approaches have been employed for their management.

Background: Treating symptomatic deep-seated cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs) is challenging due to surgical risks.
Case Description: A 37-year-old man underwent awake craniotomy with direct electrical stimulation (DES) for excision of a left posterior thalamic CCM. A transcortical transventricular approach through the superior parietal lobe enabled safe navigation around critical associative and projection white matter tracts.

Hepatic reactive lymphoid hyperplasia (RLH), also known as hepatic pseudolymphoma, is a rare benign condition that predominantly affects middle-aged-to-elderly women and is often associated with autoimmune disorders. The imaging features of hepatic RLH frequently mimic those of malignant hepatic tumors, such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), cholangiocarcinoma, or metastatic liver tumors, making its diagnosis based solely on imaging modalities challenging, often leading to unnecessary surgical resection. However, the optimal diagnostic strategy for hepatic RLH remains controversial.

Background: The liver cone unit (Tokyo 2020 terminology) of the peripheral portal vein territory represents the smallest anatomical and functional unit of the liver. While this unit enables anatomical, subsegmental resection, particularly in patients with cirrhosis, the tumor-bearing cone unit can be challenging to identify intraoperatively. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A 58-year-old man with hepatitis C-related cirrhosis (Child-Pugh B) was diagnosed with a subcapsular hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in segment 8.
