Objective: Many studies have reported conflicting results for the use of tramadol with the risk of fractures, especially hip fractures. This systematic review and meta-analysis study aimed to evaluate the association of tramadol use versus codeine use with the risk of hip fracture for the first time.
Methods: PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science databases were searched with specific keywords to find studies that examined the association of tramadol use with hip fracture risk in patients with osteoarthritis up to May 2023.
Background: Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common worldwide cancers and causes of death. Various studies have investigated the effect of metformin on overall survival (OS), cancer-specific survival (CSS), recurrence-free survival (RFS), and recurrence rate in diabetic patients after gastrectomy, and their results have been contradictory. This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effect of metformin use compared to sulfonylurea compounds with OS, CSS, RFS, and recurrence rate after gastrectomy in diabetic patients.
