Alternating- and direct-current (ADC) bipolar electropolymerization (EP) offers an efficient and scalable approach for the lateral synthesis of conjugated macromolecules, enabling the simultaneous polymerization and deposition of large conducting polymer films with intriguing fractal-like ramified topographies onto arbitrary insulating substrates under remote control. In this study, we presented the remote synthesis of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT):anion sensing films on a plastic substrate, aimed at their use in flexible nitrogen dioxide (NO) gas sensors. Notably, the PEDOT:ClO films exhibited excellent gas-sensing characteristics, with a sensitivity of 54.

Here, we introduced a bioinspired wet-spinning method that utilizes highly oxidized single-walled carbon nanotubes dispersed in organic solvents without superacid or dispersants. By incorporating submicrometer-sized graphene oxide nanosheets, we facilitated the ejection of 1.

Fiber-type electronics is a crucial field for realizing wearable electronic devices with a wide range of sensing applications. In this paper, we begin by discussing the fabrication of fibers from conjugated polymers. We then explore the utilization of these fibers in the development of field-effect and electrochemical transistors.

A comparison of different device architectures revealed that the top-contact structure exhibited superior gas-sensing performance in terms of field-effect mobility and sensitivity. The thickness of the active layer played a critical role in enhancing these parameters in the top-contact structure.
