Objective: Determine optimal dose, efficacy, and safety of MM-II, a suspension of large empty liposomes, for knee osteoarthritis (OA) pain.
Method: A double-blind phase 2b study (NCT04506463) randomized participants 3:3:3:1:3:1 to one intra-articular injection of 1, 3, or 6 mL MM-II or 1, 3, or 6 mL placebo, respectively. Inclusion criteria included age ≥40 years and radiographic and symptomatic knee OA.
Objective: Viscosupplementation (VS) by intra-articular injections of hyaluronic acid (HA) is a commonly used treatment of knee osteoarthritis. However, there are no clear recommendations for its use in clinical situations not usually addressed in therapeutic guidelines.
Design: Members of the European Viscosupplementation Consensus Group (EUROVISCO), made up of rheumatologists, orthopedic surgeons, and rehabilitation physicians from seven European countries, were asked to make a therapeutic decision on 30 clinical scenarios based on their clinical experience and data from the literature, using the Delphi method.
Introduction: Despite their exponential use, intra-articular (IA) injections of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) are not part of the recommended treatments for knee osteoarthritis (OA) by most international scientific societies. Background: There is conflicting evidence regarding the efficacy of viscosupplementation with intra-articular hyaluronic acid injections in knee osteoarthritis. One possible explanation for the inconsistent findings on its efficacy is that only certain subpopulations of patients benefit from this therapy.
Objective: The purpose of this narrative review is to succinctly summarize the existing data on the predictive factors of clinical response to intra-articular hyaluronic acid to identify the patient profile most likely to benefit from this therapy.
Background: Intra-articular hyaluronic acid (IAHA) products are often used in the treatment of adults with mild-to-moderate knee osteoarthritis (KOA). The International Symposium on Intra-Articular Treatment (ISIAT) convened a multidisciplinary technical expert panel to define characteristics for an innovative IAHA product that should answer unmet needs in the clinical management of adults with mild-to-moderate KOA.
Methods: An initial set of evidence-based statements was developed based on data extracted from articles identified through a comprehensive literature search.

Directed self-assembly of block copolymers (BCP) is a very attractive technique for the realization of functional nanostructures at high resolution. In this work, we developed full dry-etching strategies for BCP nanolithography using an 18 nm pitch lamellar silicon-containing block copolymer. Both an oxidizing Ar/O plasma and a nonoxidizing H/N plasma are used to remove the topcoat material of our BCP stack and reveal the perpendicular lamellae.

Viscosupplementation (VS) is a symptomatic treatment for knee and other joint osteoarthritis (OA).
