Background: This study aimed to provide nuanced insights in managing patients with a history of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study involved 168 patients (131 males, 37 females; mean age: 61.2±9.
Objectives: Radiofrequency-based procedure is one of the leading methods of endovenous thermal ablation. The most fundamental difference with regards to currently available radiofrequency ablation systems is the way of electric current flow given to the vein wall; bipolar segmental and monopolar ablation. This study aimed to compare the monopolar ablation method with conventional bipolar segmental endovenous radiofrequency ablation method for the management of incompetent saphenous veins.

Purpose: To investigate the effects of different bout durations on internal and external loads of young soccer players during different small-sided games (SSGs).
Methods: Fifteen young male soccer players (average age 17 ± 1 y) participated in 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, and 4 vs 4 SSGs. All games lasted 12 min playing time in total, but each SSG format further consisted of 4 bout durations: continuous (CON: 1 bout × 12 min) or interval with short (SBD: 6 bouts × 2 min), medium (MBD: 3 bouts × 4 min), or long (LBD: 2 bouts × 6 min) bout durations.

Cardiac pseudoaneurysm is a contained rupture of the myocardium limited by pericardial adhesions or the epicardial wall. Cardiac pseudoaneurysm may cause sudden death with a mortality of 30-45% in the first year, mostly resulting from rupture. Coronal and axial T2-weighted magnetic resonance images of a 65-year-old male patient admitted with dyspnoea, coughing and chest pain, present for the last 10 days, revealed a large pseudoaneursym of the left ventricle.

Background: The purpose of this study was to compare the acute effects of different stretching types on sprint performance in taekwondo practitioners.
Methods: Twelve male taekwondo practitioners performed stretching exercises using different types (ballistic, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation [PNF], static stretching) in a random order at three-day intervals; there was also a control condition involving no stretching exercises. The subjects performed 2 maximal 20-m sprints (with 10-m split times also recorded) with a recovery period of 1 minute immediately post stretching and at 5, 10, 15 and 20 minutes after stretching.
In the present study, we investigated possible alterations in red blood cell (RBC) deformability, plasma and whole blood viscosities (WBV) and hematological parameters in response to Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test level 1 (Yo-YoIR1) which is currently used to assess endurance performance, in female volleyball players. Eight volleyball player volunteers from Pamukkale University (mean age19,9 ± 2,2 years; mean body height 177.5 ± 1.
