Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma with sarcomatous transformation (ICC-S) is a rare, aggressive neoplasm with epithelial and sarcomatous elements. We report a rapid progression of ICC-S in a 66-year-old woman. Initially, a seemingly benign 8-cm mass was observed.

Long-term data are essential for selection between transcatheter (TAVR) and surgical (SAVR) aortic valve replacement in low-risk aortic stenosis (AS) patients. Given the recent randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and mid-term outcomes from existing trials, a reappraisal of the current literature is necessary. We systematically identified RCTs comparing TAVR and SAVR in low risk AS patients.

Methods: We analyzed the national data on Medicare beneficiaries aged ≥65 years who underwent isolated tricuspid valve replacement or repair for TR between January 2016 and December 2020.

However, even after decades of study, clear clinical guidelines on doses and ideal use cases after cardiovascular surgery remain unclear. Here, the existing literature is synthesized on vasopressin use for cardiac surgeries and coupled with real-world clinical experience to outline a clearer clinical path for vasopressin use.

Objectives: To elucidate the optimal septal reduction therapy for obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, we conducted a meta-analysis comparing alcohol septal ablation (ASA) and septal myectomy.

Methods: MEDLINE, EMBASE and Cochrane CENTRAL were searched to identify studies investigating the outcomes of ASA and septal myectomy in patients with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in January 2023. The primary outcome of interest was all-cause mortality in studies with ≥1 year of follow-up.
