This paper presents a simple design of a two-element antenna with circularly polarized (CP) reconfigurability for multiple-input multiple-output wireless local-area network (WLAN) applications. A MIMO element consists of a reconfigurable feeding network, a CP source, and a 2 × 2 unit-cell metasurface (MS). By controlling the ON/OFF state of PIN diodes, the proposed MIMO system can operate in either right-hand CP (RHCP) or left-hand CP (LHCP) for all ports, or either RHCP or LHCP for each port.

This study sought to evaluate the antibody response after booster coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines and compare the immunogenic by different vaccine combination strategies.
Methods: A cross-sectional study in Hanoi, Vietnam was conducted on 679 adult participants who received two doses of vaccines with any combination of AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Moderna during the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in 2021.
Introduction: Cardiac surgery in patients on chronic renal dialysis is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Minimally invasive extracorporeal circuits (MiECC) have shown a positive impact on patient outcome in different high-risk populations. However, the lack of belonging in established surgical training curriculums compared to the traditional median sternotomy, the requirement for more technical expertise and a certain learning curve, has limited their use, being routinely performed only by certain surgeons in specialized centers. Their actual activities depend on the quantity of active sites which are exposed to the electrolyte, which in turn, is influenced by their specific electrochemical surface area. Herein we report on the fabrication of regular inverse opal MoS and MoS films by employing polystyrene nanoparticles with diameters in the range of 30-90 nm as hard templates.

Background: Mixing vaccines was proposed as a solution to tackle supply chain interruptions during the crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed to investigate the safety of mixing COVID-19 vaccines for a booster dose in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted via a telephone-based interview to identify the adverse events following COVID-19 vaccination among 719 participants in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Cobalt-promoted molybdenum sulfide (CoMoS) is known as a promising catalyst for H evolution reaction and hydrogen desulfurization reaction. Purpose: To investigate mechanism(s) by which mutations in the olfactomedin domain of myocilin (MYOC), also known as the trabecular meshwork-induced glucocorticoid response (TIGR) gene, cause autosomal dominant open-angle glaucoma, the structure and properties of wild-type (WT) MYOC protein were examined, when expressed alone or simultaneously with the Q368X or K423E disease-associated polypeptides.
Methods: Myocilin was analyzed in human aqueous humor and human trabecular meshwork (HTM) tissues. COS-7 and immortalized human trabecular meshwork (iHTM) cell lines were transfected with expression vectors encoding WT MYOC, mutated, and/or epitope-tagged cDNAs.
Reactive astrocytes respond to central nervous system (CNS) injury and disease by elaborating a glial scar that is inhibitory to axonal regeneration. To identify genes that may be involved in the astrocytic response to injury, we used differential display polymerase chain reaction and an in vivo model of the CNS glial scar. Expression of the trabecular meshwork inducible glucocorticoid response (TIGR) gene was increased in gliotic tissue compared with the uninjured cerebral cortex.

Purpose: To determine whether trabecular meshwork-inducible glucocorticoid response/myocilin (TIGR/MYOC) protein associates with the extracellular matrix (ECM) of human trabecular meshwork (HTM) cells.
Methods: The extracellular localization of TIGR/MYOC was examined by immunofluorescence microscopy in HTM cultures treated with and without dexamethasone and ascorbate and in a transformed HTM cell line, TM-1, transiently transfected with TIGR/MYOC cDNA. Antibodies to TIGR/MYOC, fibronectin, laminin, type IV collagen, or thrombospondin were used to determine the extracellular localization of TIGR/MYOC.
