: To report our experience with Descemet stripping only (DSO) for the treatment of Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy. Thirteen eyes of 9 patients with symptomatic Fuchs endothelial dystrophy underwent a 4 mm central Descemetorhexis without graft implantation between June 2017 and July 2020. All patients had central confluent guttata, undetectable central endothelial cell count by specular microscopy, and healthy peripheral corneal endothelium.

Osteo-odonto-keratoprosthesis (OOKP) is a surgical procedure reserved for severe end-stage corneal blindness with a dry, keratinized ocular surface. Late resorption of bone has been described as a complication of this procedure. Purpose: The success of Descemet stripping only (DSO) is optimized by performing a well-centered, accurately sized diameter of descemetorhexis with a smooth curvilinear border. To achieve this success, we describe a repeatable and relatively straightforward technique to optimize this descemetorhexis for DSO.
