Personnel wellness in professional environments is often perceived as a secondary concern wherein efficiency and productivity are prioritized. The Blue Zones philosophy challenges this traditional approach. We propose implementing consistent wellness practices that are based on the Blue Zones principles and believe that these will primarily benefit providers and organizations as a whole.

Catatonia may manifest as an independent entity or as a feature of a neuropsychiatric or medical illness. While electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is the gold standard treatment for catatonia, it is typically administered if the patient's symptoms fail to respond to benzodiazepines. We describe the case of a 22-year-old male with Budd Chiari induced cirrhosis and no prior psychiatric history, who presented with symptoms of psychosis and hepatic encephalopathy, was treated in the ICU for multi-factorial delirium, developed symptoms of catatonia that failed to respond to lorazepam, ultimately requiring ECT with a favorable response.

However, CT is fraught with challenges specific to the patient population, such as increased sensitivity to radiation and inability to remain stationary during imaging.
Objective: This study investigates potential advantages of a high-pitch helical CT protocol for infants with cardiothoracic pathologies.
Although many advancements have been made in imaging modalities that can be used to diagnose pulmonary embolism (PE), computed tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) is still the preferred gold standard for promptly diagnosing pulmonary embolism by looking for filling defects caused by the embolus lodged within the main pulmonary artery or its respective branches. The diagnosis is made by the radiologists in emergency settings where quick detection of a PE on CTPA helps the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) in quick management. Thus, utmost care is needed to follow standard image acquisition protocols and optimal contrast administration techniques to achieve a contrast opacification of at least 210 Hounsfield units for the radiologists to easily pinpoint an embolus within the pulmonary arteries.

Our study investigates the diagnostic accuracy and impact on radiologist report turnaround times of an FDA-approved AI tool for pneumothorax (PTx) detection on inpatient chest X-rays (CXR) in our institution's radiology practice at a large academic medical center.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 27,397 frontal, single-view CXRs of adult inpatients collected consecutively between August 2020 and April 2021 following deployment of an AI-based PTx detection and picture archiving and communication system (PACS) alert system.

Dyslipidemia, specifically elevated low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels, causes atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and increases the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke. Statins, a class of drugs that exert their effects by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme in the synthesis of cholesterol, have been the mainstay of therapy for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease and lipids reduction. Statins are associated with side effects, most commonly myopathy and myalgias, despite their proven efficacy.
