Background: Migraine episodes are known to induce heightened photosensitivity. Neuroimaging investigations have revealed that the primary visual cortex exhibits abnormal activation patterns both during and between migraine attacks. Growing evidence suggests that altered cortical activity patterns may underlie the pathophysiology of neurological disorders.
