Objective: Exosomes are secreted by most cell types and reflect the internal state of their cells of origin, playing crucial roles in the progression of various pathological conditions. Endometriosis is a chronic, estrogen-dependent inflammatory disease characterized by the ectopic presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterus, including in the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and peritoneal cavity. It primarily affects women of reproductive age and is often associated with infertility.

Their expression is upregulated in response to abiotic stresses, including cold, heat, drought, and salinity, contributing to plant stress tolerance. CsRCI2E interacts with the water transport protein CsPIP2; 1, reducing its abundance at the PM under NaCl-induced stress.

This study presents a hybrid sensor placement methodology that combines criterion-based candidate selection with advanced optimization algorithms. Four established selection criteria-modal kinetic energy (MKE), modal strain energy (MSE), modal assurance criterion (MAC) sensitivity, and mutual information (MI)-are used to evaluate DOF sensitivity and generate candidate pools. These are followed by one of four optimization algorithms-greedy, genetic algorithm (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO), or simulated annealing (SA)-to identify the optimal subset of sensor locations.

Materials And Methods: Consecutive participants who met the 2021 United States Preventive Services Task Force guidelines for LCS during a medical check-up between 2012 and 2014 were retrospectively analyzed. Forced vital capacity (FVC) ≥ 80% at baseline was considered indicative of preserved pulmonary function.
Few large-scale studies have investigated factors associated with the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in patients with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). This study aimed to determine the risk of HCC in AIH patients and associated risk factors, focusing on metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). We analyzed the claims data from the Korean National Health Insurance Service from 2007 to 2020.

We aimed to elucidate the association between the use of SGLT2is and the risk of prostate cancer among male patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
Methods: An active-comparator, new-user cohort design using a nationwide database between September 2014 and June 2020 was conducted on 45,601 new SGLT2i users and 205,395 new users of other glucose-lowering medications (oGLMs).
Male investment in offspring rearing through paternal care is rare among mammals and the neural mechanisms governing its emergence are poorly understood. We leveraged the natural paternal behavior of African striped mice () in combination with brain-wide cFos quantification, single-nucleus RNA-sequencing, viral-mediated gene manipulation, and environmental manipulation to dissect the neural basis of natural variation in male parenting. We find that socio-environmental conditions drive individual variation in male alloparenting such that post-weaning social isolation increases paternal care while social living in higher density groups increases infanticide.

This study aimed to validate and assess the reliability of the Korean version of the self-efficacy scale for healthy eating and physical activity to support pregnancy-related weight management research in Korea.
Methods: This study is a secondary data analysis using previously collected data from an online survey of pregnant women in South Korea.
We investigated serial changes in intracranial artery dissection (ICAD) from the baseline to 12 months on vessel wall MRI. This prospective study enrolled 17 participants with clear onset of 20 unruptured ICADs between April 2016 and May 2018, and underwent vessel wall MRI within 1 week, and at 1-, 3-, 6-, and 12-months following symptom onset. Detection rates of imaging features, imaging time showing stable morphology and measurements were assessed, and compared between 1- and 3-month using exact McNemar's and Wilcoxon signed-rank test.

Materials And Methods: A systematic review was conducted on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published through January 2024 that compared SGLT2i/DPP4i combination therapy with DPP4i or SGLT2i monotherapy. The primary outcome was haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) changes.
Unanticipated postural control measures may better identify mechanisms of ankle sprains in real-life situations. The purpose of this study was to identify directional deficits in reactive postural control during unanticipated horizontal perturbations among groups of chronic ankle instability (CAI), ankle sprain coper, and healthy control. Sixty-eight volunteers (24 CAI patients, 23 ankle sprain copers, and 21 healthy controls) participated in this study.

This study investigates the relationship between self-reported psychological distress and emotions in social media posts, using a deep learning-based emotion analysis model. A cross-sectional design was used, collecting data from Instagram and Threads between June and September 2024. Social media users completed a survey assessing psychological distress, including depression, anxiety, perceived stress, and social isolation, and consented to the analysis of their textual posts.

Methods: This retrospective observational study included patients with incidentally detected PCLs (0.5-4.
Background/aims: Rectal hyposensitivity (RH), as defined by the London Classification, has been linked to sensory dysfunction caused by diabetes mellitus and Parkinson's disease (PD); however, its clinical interpretation has not been sufficiently validated. In this study, we aim to explore the correlations between rectal sensory thresholds and the clinical characteristics of patients with functional defecatory disorders.
Methods: We reviewed data from patients who underwent high-resolution anorectal manometry and acquired their clinical characteristics using a standardized questionnaire.
Background: In Korea, the patterns of prevalence of gynecological cancers have shifted due to rising obesity-related cancer cases. We evaluated the associations of body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) with the risk of gynecological malignancy in Korean women.
Methods: Using National Health Insurance Service cohort data, we analyzed 365,581 participants among the 1,999,980 women aged ≥ 19 years who underwent health check-ups at the baseline year 2009-2010, excluding those who died, those with prior cancer diagnoses, underwent hysterectomy and/or salpingo-oophorectomy before the index date (January 1st, 2011), or missing/outliers BMI and WC values.
Background: Despite the remarkable outcome of open thoracoabdominal aortic repairs of high-volume aortic centers, generalized results that span diverse clinical settings are needed in the era of thoracic endovascular aortic repair. This study explored national real-world data focusing on the impact of cumulative surgical volume on the operative outcomes.
Methods: Data from the Korean National Health Insurance Service claims database were used to create a cohort that included adult patients who underwent open thoracoabdominal or descending thoracic aortic aneurysm repairs from 2008 to 2020.

Purpose: This systematic review evaluated the effectiveness of digital health interventions (DHIs) using technology-based strategies for women with pregnancy complications.
Methods: Six databases were searched: MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, ProQuest, and Web of Science. The main concepts of interest were (1) target population: women with high-risk pregnancies; (2) health condition: pregnancy complications; (3) interventions: DHIs operationalized via mobile applications, the internet, and text messages; and (4) study design: randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
Purpose: We aimed to develop a preoperative risk scoring system to predict early recurrence (ER) of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICCA) after resection, utilizing clinical and computed tomography (CT) features.
Materials And Methods: This multicenter study included 365 patients who underwent curative-intent surgical resection for ICCA at six institutions between 2009 and 2016. Of these, 264 patients from one institution constituted the development cohort, while 101 patients from the other institutions constituted the external validation cohort.
Despite the substantial role of chest MRI for the diagnosis and follow-up of thymic cysts, information about inter-reader agreement and optimal MR sequences is still limited. We aimed to investigate the inter-reader agreement for diagnosing thymic cysts using various combinations of MR sequences and to assess the effect of the addition of CT on inter-reader agreement. A total of 76 anterior mediastinal lesions (≤ 30 mm) from two tertiary referral hospitals (55 from Institution A and 21 from Institution B) who underwent chest CT and contrast-enhanced chest MR were included.
