Hepatic cysts are relatively common and often present with non-specific symptoms such as nausea and abdominal pain. While most are benign simple cysts, the differential diagnosis includes infectious, inflammatory, and malignant etiologies. Imaging, including ultrasound and cross-sectional modalities, is key to diagnosis.

Integration of principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) with policies, procedures and organizational culture remains a challenge for many departments of Surgery.
Methods: Starting in June of 2021, we implemented a structured justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion plan with the goal of enhancing organizational and cultural change within our department.
Background: Morgagni hernias are rare, with a reported incidence of 2% to 5% of congenital diaphragmatic hernias.
Objectives: To review a laparoscopic technique to repair Morgagni hernias in pediatric patients.
Methods: Retrospective chart review of pediatric patients who underwent minimally invasive repair of a Morgagni hernia from November 2009 to September 2017 within a defined population.
