Introduction A combination of ipilimumab/nivolumab has demonstrated a median overall survival (mOS) of 71.9 months in advanced melanoma, establishing it as the standard first-line (1L) therapy. However, the approval of this combination by the Portuguese Regulatory Authority occurred 76 months after its approval by the European Authority, leaving tyrosine kinase inhibitors as the only 1L option available for the BRAF-mutated melanoma population.

Background: Acute pulmonary embolism (PE) can occur as a manifestation of an underlying cancer and be of paraneoplastic aetiology. Because the certification of aircraft structures requires significant costs and time-consuming experimental tests, all the studies carried out are strong contributions to the applicability of repairs based on adhesively bonded fibre composite patches. In this context, the main goal of this study aims to analyse the effect of the impact position on the multi-impact response of repaired composites. The results will be compared with those obtained in composites containing holes.

Objective: To analyze the profile and temporal trends of female homicides in Maranhão, Brazil, between 2000 and 2019.

Methods: This was an ecological study using data from the Mortality Information System. The profile of the deaths, mortality rate trends (joinpoint method) and correlation with socioeconomic and health indicators (Pearson correlation) were evaluated.

This debate between rationalists and sentimentalists still stands with respect to persons with mental disorders, such as individuals diagnosed with mild forms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), without intellectual impairment.

Pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms: survival trend analysis of a comprehensive center.

Objectives: Therapeutic options for pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasia (Pan-NEN) have increased over the last decade. We aim to understand the evolution of the prognosis of patients with diagnosis of Pan-NEN within a 12-year period, considering the implementation of new treatments.

Methods: This study is a retrospective cohort study of patients diagnosed with Pan-NENs between 2006 and 2017.

Objective: We examined time perspective in patients with amnesic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI). Prior research has shown that aMCI is associated with difficulties in experiencing time duration and succession. However, this line of inquiry has not been extended to time perspective.

Acute organ failure and risk of admission to intensive medical care in cancer patients: a single center prospective cohort study.

Objective: To ascertain the cumulative incidence of acute organ failure and intensive care unit admission in cancer patients.

Methods: This was a single-center prospective cohort study of adult cancer patients admitted for unscheduled inpatient care while on systemic cancer treatment.

Results: Between August 2018 and February 2019, 10,392 patients were on systemic treatment, 358 had unscheduled inpatient care and were eligible for inclusion, and 285 were included.

At local scales, people generally use the most abundant plants, which may be abundant as the result of management of indigenous peoples and local communities. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study, with data obtained through interviews conducted with pregnant women aged 10 to 49 years during the third trimester of pregnancy, living in Caxias, state of Maranhão, Brazil (2019-2020). The instrument of the World Health Organization Violence Against Women Study was used to identify violence.

Introduction: Urachal carcinoma is a rare type of non-urothelial malignancy that arises from the urachal ligament, a remnant of fetal development. It frequently involves the dome of the bladder or its midline, with adenocarcinoma being the most common histological type. This malignancy is generally diagnosed in advanced stages and is associated with poor prognosis.

360 Health Analysis (H360) - A Proposal for an Integrated Vision of Breast Cancer in Portugal.

H360 aims to provide a comprehensive picture of breast cancer management in Portugal by retrieving real-world data from 10 Portuguese hospitals and deriving a snapshot from the medical interpretation of evidence-based data to patient perspective on the quality and effectiveness of medical care provided. This article reviews evidence on breast cancer clinical practice and quality of care and disease management in Portugal. A review of evidence on breast cancer clinical practice and quality of care over the last 10 years was performed in PubMed using the query "Organization and Administration"[Mesh] AND "breast cancer"[All Fields] NOT "Review" [ptyp].

Personal stigma, determinants of intention to use technology, and acceptance of internet-based psychological interventions for depression.

Objective: Despite showing comparable levels of efficacy, internet-based psychological interventions (IPI) exhibited lower acceptance and intention of use as compared to psychological treatment delivered by face-to-face methods. Surprisingly, no research has inspected whether IPI acceptance is associated with variables linked with intentions of technology use and with barriers to seeking professional psychological help, such as personal depression stigma. Informed by the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, the current study tested the role of technology and mental health-related determinants as predictors of acceptance of IPI for depression.

Mental time travel in mild cognitive impairment.

: Mental Time Travel (MTT) is the people's ability to remember themselves in the past and to imagine themselves in the future, and influence important life domains such as making decisions and planning future actions. It is widely recognized that patients with aMCI have deficits in episodic memory, but they also show impairments in semantic memory. It has been controversial whether MTT tasks are disturbed in aMCI mainly in relation to internal details related to episodic information, or external details, representing semantic and other extraneous information.

A water-soluble and charge-tagged palladium complex (PdMAI) was found to function inside breast cancer live cells of the MCF-7 lineage as an efficient catalyst for cross-coupling reaction. PdMAI, bearing two ionophilic task-specific ionic liquids as ligands, efficiently catalyzed both in cellulo Suzuki and Buchwald-Hartwig amination reactions. For the first time, therefore, the Buchwald-Hartwig amination is described to occur inside the highly complex cellular environment.

Athletic Training and Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy.

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is an inherited cardiomyopathy characterized by ventricular arrhythmias and sudden death in the young and in competitive athletes. The deleterious role of exercise in the natural history of ARVC is clear. Even in the absence of a demonstrated arrhythmogenic substrate, family history or mutations of ARVC, intense physical exercise may in some individuals lead to the development of right ventricular dysfunction and arrhythmogenicity.

Pharmacogenomics in epithelial ovarian cancer first-line treatment outcome: validation of GWAS-associated NRG3 rs1649942 and BRE rs7572644 variants in an independent cohort.

The identification of predictive biomarkers for the first-line treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) remains a challenge. Although genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified several genetic polymorphisms as predictors of EOC clinical outcome, the subsequent validation has not yet been performed. This study aims to validate the influence of Neuregulin 3 (NRG3) rs1649942 and Brain and reproductive organ-expressed (TNFRSF1A modulator) (BRE) rs7572644 GWAS-identified variants in an independent cohort of EOC patients from the North region of Portugal (n = 339) submitted to first-line treatment.

Ten simple rules for measuring the impact of workshops.

Workshops are used to explore a specific topic, to transfer knowledge, to solve identified problems, or to create something new. In funded research projects and other research endeavours, workshops are the mechanism used to gather the wider project, community, or interested people together around a particular topic. However, natural questions arise: how do we measure the impact of these workshops? Do we know whether they are meeting the goals and objectives we set for them? What indicators should we use? In response to these questions, this paper will outline rules that will improve the measurement of the impact of workshops.
