Introduction And Clinical Importance: Internal hernias (IHs) are uncommon, representing under 1 % of all cases, and are hard to diagnose early, often leading to discovery during surgery.
Case Presentation: A 30-year-old patient with no prior surgeries presented with sudden severe abdominal pain and vomiting. Examination showed generalized defence and hyperactive bowel sounds.
: In view of a lack of evidence on the subject, we aimed to perform a scoping review to understand the impact of health education among people attending mass gatherings. : We followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) Guidelines. PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, and Cochrane Library were searched from inception to March 2025 to identify eligible studies.

Background: The Hajj pilgrimage poses significant public health challenges due to the risk of infectious disease transmission. Despite mandatory vaccination policies, barriers such as hesitancy, logistical issues, and vaccine availability persist.
Objective: This study assesses vaccine uptake, reasons for compliance or non-compliance, and barriers among Hajj pilgrims.
Introduction: Mucinous (colloid) carcinoma (MC) of the breast typically affects postmenopausal and elderly women, with a more favorable prognosis compared to invasive breast carcinoma of no special type (IBC-NST). It is characterized by the presence of extracellular mucin and better outcomes. In our work, we presented a fifteen-year yield of a tertiary cancer center for MC.

Online databases (Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and PubMed) were searched to identify eligible RCTs published until March 2024. A dose-response meta-analysis was performed using a random-effects model.

This study aimed to investigate the migration of nine chemical groups, including alanine, acetic acid, cyano derivatives, urea, amines, amides, benzene derivatives, nitrites, and non-specified compounds, across different food categories. A total of 195 packaged food samples from eleven food categories were analyzed using Headspace Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) to identify and quantify chemical migrants.

This inaugural systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluated the impact of magnesium supplementation on various cardiometabolic risk factors and hormonal parameters in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). : We systematically searched the MEDLINE, Web of Science, Scopus, and Cochrane databases until 30 March 2024 for studies comparing magnesium supplementation to control in improving cardiometabolic and hormonal factors in PCOS patients.

This systematic review outlines the efficacy and outcomes of endovascular management of these lesions. A comprehensive analysis of seven studies including 53 patients revealed high technical success rates, with complete obliteration in 46.

Over time, they are subjected to corrosion processes that gradually alter their appearance, shape, and composition. This study aims to evaluate the effects of the patina and/or protective coating on the corrosion process.

This editorial highlights the urgent need for establishing endovascular centers across the country to address these gaps. Endovascular interventions, such as mechanical thrombectomy, have proven effective in reducing stroke-related mortality and long-term disability when administered within a narrow treatment window.

Despite pioneering efforts, such as the establishment of the first Orbital Surgery Center in Baghdad, the field grapples with multifaceted challenges. Training neurosurgeons remains a critical hurdle, hindered by inadequate programs, limited exposure to complex cases, and a scarcity of experienced mentors.

Objective: This study aimed to systematically examine the relationship between polycystic ovary syndrome and ovarian, endometrial, and cervical cancers using the National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database.
Methods: We utilized the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) system to identify relevant codes from the NIS database (2016-2019). Univariate and multivariable regression analyses (adjusted age, race, hospital region, hospital teaching status, income Zip score, smoking, alcohol use, and hormonal replacement therapy) were conducted to evaluate association between PCOS and gynecologic cancers.
Azoospermia accounts for 10-20% of male infertility. In 20-30% of affected males, genetic abnormalities are the leading cause of azoospermia. LncRNAs can regulate spermatogenic cell development.

Its incidence rate is exceedingly low, with only 1 case reported per 4 million live births. The syndrome is distinguished by a series of characteristic clinical features.

The spearpoints, thought to be archaeologically significant, were acquired from the Military Museum in Al-Qala, Egypt. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were used to characterize the spearheads chemical composition and microstructure (EDX).

This inverse relationship, however, has not been confirmed in randomized controlled trials (RCTs). A meta-analysis of RCTs is needed to provide more robust evidence.

Objective: We investigated the potential relationship between endometriosis and risk of ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and breast cancers using the National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database.
Methods: We utilized the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) system to identify relevant codes from the NIS database (2016-2019). Univariate and multivariate regression analyses (adjusted for age, race, hospital region, hospital teaching status, income Zip score, smoking, alcohol use, and hormonal replacement therapy) were conducted to evaluate the association between endometriosis and gynecologic cancers and summarized as odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).

Background: Basal ganglia hemorrhage (BGH) is an intracerebral subtype of hemorrhage located in the caudate nucleus, putamen, globus pallidus, or adjacent structures such as the thalamus or internal capsule. Bilateral involvement of both basal ganglia is exceedingly infrequent. Herein, we report a case of a 2-year-old female who was discovered to have spontaneous bilateral BGH with a unique hemorrhagic extension.

Diagnosing this condition can be challenging but can be confirmed through imaging studies and biopsy. Treatment involves a combination of antitubercular medications and surgical removal of the lesion if it is in a critical location or causing significant symptoms.

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to examine the effect of the antioxidant alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) on various cardiometabolic risk factors and hormonal parameters in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). We searched PubMed, EMBASE, SCOPUS, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases without language restrictions until May 2023 to find randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that assessed the impact of ALA supplementation on anthropometric, glycemic, lipid, oxidative stress, and hormonal parameters in women with PCOS. Outcomes were summarized using the standardized mean difference (SMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI) in a random-effects model.
