Transition metal phosphides, particularly Ni-based phosphide catalysts, are well-known for their improved catalytic performance and stability in hydrolysis reactions. Herein, a dual phosphorization catalyst NiP-NC@PNF was synthesized using a novel surface phosphating strategy. The nanoparticle size of NiP-NC is approximately 4.

Cobalt-based monolithic phosphides are an attractive approach due to their stability and corrosion resistance properties for catalytic reactions. Herein, phosphourous -induced Co-based dual active sites phosphides (CoP-NiP-NC) are fabricated on phosphourous-activated nickel foam (P-NF) through the phosphorization method. The results confirm the uniform growth of CoP-NiP nanoparticles (NPs) with octahedral morphology embedded in the carbon-nitrogen matrix.

Objective: To compare the efficacy of a probiotic plus antibiotic with antibiotic therapy alone for the prevention of the recurrence of bacterial vaginosis.

Method: A Randomized control trial was conducted in the Gynecological Department of Nishtar Hospital, Multan, between July 2022 and June 2023. One hundred and twenty (N=120) women with bacterial vaginosis, all cured with metronidazole, were enrolled and randomized.

Palladium-based catalysts are remarkable in endorsing hydrogen (H) generation through formic acid (HCOOH, FA) dehydrogenation under near-ambient conditions. Hydrogen energy efficiency depends on high-performance catalyst design. In this study, Pd-Cu nanoalloy catalysts with mutable atomic ratios are successfully fabricated on TiO nanosheets (TiO-NSs).

Water contamination by several aquatic pollutants such as dyes, heavy metal ions and microbes is a prevalent concern to health and environment. Thus, developing facile, economical, and eco-friendly strategies to tackle this problem have become paramount. Hence, this study reports the synthesis of hydroxyethylcellulose phthalate-capped silver nanoparticles (HEC-PA@AgNPs) using a simple sunlight-assisted route.

Bimetallic Nanoalloy catalysts have diverse uses in clean energy, sensing, catalysis, biomedicine, and energy storage, with some supported and unsupported catalysts. Conventional synthetic methods for producing bimetallic alloy nanoparticles often produce unalloyed and bulky particles that do not exhibit desired characteristics. Alloys, when prepared with advanced nanoscale methods, give higher surface area, activity, and selectivity than individual metals due to changes in their electronic properties and reduced size.

The current study investigated the potential of selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) and mannan-oligosaccharide (MOS) supplementation in ameliorating high stocking density (HSD) stress in broilers. A total of 392 day-old male chicks were divided into seven groups with eight replicates (n = 7): NSD [basal diet (BD) + normal stocking density: 10 bird/m2], HSD [BD + high stocking density: 16 bird/m2], Se−HSD [BD + Selenium (Se) 0.15 mg/kg], MOS−HSD (BD + MOS 5 gm/kg), Se−MOS−HSD (BD + Se 0.

The current study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs), combined or loaded with chitosan (COS), in broiler chickens reared under standard management protocols. The parameters under investigation were production performance, organ development, components of the intestinal barrier, and ileal microbial count. Two hundred and forty day-old chicks were raised in five groups, with each group containing eight replicates (=6/replicate).

We conducted a 28-day trial to evaluate the influence of and phytase supplementation on the expression of musculoskeletal strength and intestinal histological features in Japanese quail. Two-hundred day-old quail chicks were divided into four groups with five replicates (=10): the first group served as a control and was fed only a basal diet (BD); the second group was fed BD + 0.1% ; the third group was fed BD + 0.

Increased use of vancomycin for treating infections, and the associated risk of causing nephrotoxicity lead to the present study. The antioxidant and anti-apoptotic potential of Silybum marianum is used along with vancomycin to reduce adverse effects on the kidney. Vero cells (monkey kidney cells) and mice were used to test S.

This experiment aimed to investigate the effect of different levels of zinc (Zn) and a probiotic on the growth and intestinal health of broiler chickens. One hundred ninety-two-day-old broiler chicks were randomly assigned to 6 groups. The birds were supplemented with Zn (30 and 60 mg/kg) and a probiotic mixture alone or in combination with Zn.

Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of sodium butyrate (SB) on growth performance, immune status, organs weights, and microarchitecture of lymphoid organs and small intestine.

Methods: A total of 120, 1-d-old broiler chicks were distributed into the following four treatment groups: corn-soy based basal diet (BD) without supplement (control), or the same BD supplemented with 0.1 g/kg zinc bacitracin (ZnB), 0.

Hereditary artifacts in BRCA1 gene have a significant contributory role in familial cases of breast cancer. However, its germline mutational penetrance in sporadic breast cancer cases with respect to Pakistani population has not yet been very well defined. This study was designed to assess the contributory role of germline mutations of this gene in sporadic cases of breast cancer.
