Liquid biopsy, specifically circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) analysis, has emerged as a transformative tool in precision oncology, providing real-time, minimally invasive characterizations of the tumor and tumor dynamics. While tissue biopsy is a critical tool for baseline diagnosis of malignancy, it is often limited by sampling constraints and an inability to capture tumor heterogeneity. In this study, we explored the clinical utility of serial ctDNA testing in guiding therapeutic decisions across a cohort of 30 patients with diverse solid tumors.

Introduction  Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is increasingly recognized not only as a pulmonary condition but as a systemic disorder with significant cardiovascular implications. Acute exacerbations of COPD (AECOPD) further elevate this risk, potentially through a heightened prothrombotic state. This study aimed to evaluate and compare the levels of select prothrombotic biomarkers - fibrinogen, C-reactive protein (CRP), D-dimer, von Willebrand Factor (vWF), homocysteine, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) - in patients with stable COPD and AECOPD, and to assess their diagnostic and prognostic significance.

Laser lithotripsy has transformed the management of urinary stone disease, with Holmium:YAG (Ho:YAG) long regarded as the standard of care. However, the emergence of the thulium fiber laser (TFL) has introduced a novel alternative with potential technical and clinical benefits. This review synthesizes data from randomized controlled trials and cohort studies published between 2019 and 2025 comparing Ho:YAG and TFL for urinary stone lithotripsy.

Introduction: The goal of perioperative management in reactive airway disease (RAD) patients is to ensure optimal airway stability, maintain adequate oxygenation, and reduce the need for mechanical ventilation while minimizing airway irritation and inflammation. Due to the airway hyperresponsiveness and increased risk of respiratory complications in RAD patients, non-opioid adjuncts that provide both bronchodilation and analgesia are preferred. Lignocaine and magnesium sulfate (MgSO₄) have emerged as effective agents in this context.
