Background: This study investigated the association between vitamin D status and thyroid function in 1,805 adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) treated at a tertiary hospital between 2018 and 2024. We analyzed demographic, metabolic, and thyroid function parameters to determine whether vitamin D levels influence thyroid dysfunction in this population.
Methods: Plasma 25-hydroxyvitamin D, thyroid hormones (FT3, FT4, TSH), and autoantibodies (TPOAb, TGAb, TRAb) were measured using electrochemiluminescence.
Evidence indicates a relationship between osteoporosis and nutritional factors. Nevertheless, the correlation between fatty acids and bone health remains not fully elucidated. This research sought to explore the potential associations between fatty acids (FAs) and osteoporosis.

In recent years, folate, an essential nutrient, has been associated with the onset of various autoimmune diseases. However, the relationship between dietary folate intake and AIT remains unclear.

It is the primary cause of primary hypothyroidism and affects women more frequently than men. Nearly 95% of individuals with HT exhibit thyroid peroxidase antibodies or thyroglobulin antibodies.

Background: T-cell exhaustion (Tex) can be beneficial in autoimmune diseases, but its role in Graves' disease (GD), an autoimmune disorder of the thyroid, remains unknown. This study investigated Tex-related gene expression in GD patients to discern the potential contributions of these genes to GD pathogenesis and immune regulation.
Methods: Through gene landscape analysis, a protein-protein interaction network of 40 Tex-related genes was constructed.
Hyperglycemia plays crucial roles in vascular disease development, including macrovascular and microvascular diseases from diabetes mellitus (DM). Our previous study demonstrated that L. (RTL) aqueous and ethanol extracts alleviate hyperglycemia and inhibit insulin resistance in diabetic rats.

However, it is unclear whether dietary iodine supplementation improves the prognosis of ATD therapy for GD. This study aimed to clarify whether optimal iodine supplementation during antithyroid drug therapy for GD is associated with lower recurrence rates than iodine restriction.

However, epidemiological data about the relationship between visceral fat and T2D are rare in Chinese. The aim of the present study was to investigate whether visceral fat area (VFA) is associated with T2D beyond and above BMI in the Chinese population.
